If you believe the management are crooks, why did you get involved in the first place.

Most companies are run by honest guys trying to do a good job for themselves, for the company and ultimately for the shareholders.

As an afterthought:

Apparently, having to clean up mud after an oil well drill is quite usual.

If I was in management here, I would be considering an acid wash in the original well in addition to the side track well. Both have shown that they are capable of producing, perhaps we can get to worthwhile production with both of them?

The old adage says no news is good news.

An acid wash to remove the mud in a well is apparently relatively inexpensive.

However, the mud needs analysing and the appropriate acid mixture has to be prepared.

This takes some time.

There is oil in the well, just not quantified and tested yet.

There is oil in the rock strata.

The bod have an interest in eventual success.

Until we are told that it’s over it isn’t over!

It’s just that I interpreted your comment ‘why would Energean need further Char input to carry them further forward’ as suggesting that the terms of the farm in were somehow fluid.

To my mind, a well structured, binding agreement on the possible way forward would have been made at the outset.

I believe that Char have political contacts that are essential to the development of the field, as well as other expertise to offer.

I invested initially as I saw Char as an alternative, greener energy company, with exciting contacts allowing them access to more speculative plays.

How they have obtained the next play offshore Namibia with major oilers competing for every slice suggests personal contacts and our chairman being well accepted by various African governments

So for me it’s ’roll the dice’ when onshore and offshore carbo-hydrogen deals are up for grabs, but concentrate on the development of sustainable energy for the continent.

Pity the share price does not reflect this at present.

Does that mean that you think the CHAR board are so inept, that they have negotiated a farm in agreement that allows the incoming company to dictate future terms and perhaps even eject CHAR altogether?

This is what you seem to be suggesting.

I admire the bod for the spread of involvement between oil/gas and cleaner energy. I think they need to be given more credit. As soon as cash starts to be generated the whole picture should change.

There is just so much positive here to be sidetracked by the odd down post and the odd swerve off course.

Well researched for my initial investment and steadily improving and growing.

Perhaps a little concerned at the poor market valuation, just have to wait until the revenue streams become reality.

I have decided not to buy into the offer, because like yourself, I have held for a long time and cannot justify further money spent here.

I topped up in a biggish way when the shares were 8,45p thinking ‘what a bargain’ my average being a lot higher. I certainly cannot contemplate selling at these prices, So yess, I am waiting for jam tomorrow. Isn’t that why we are all share purchasers?

Most of my investments are struggling, I’m sure there must be a few others feeling the same. Gone are the days when the market was almost predictable, or even rational.

However, why I view CHAR as a banker, is precisely because of the diversification, each part of which I tend to follow with interest.

However, I am happy to be corrected, and learn much from the various posters. Not the dreary pessimists though, who I find tiresome. Hence for my encouragement for t(em to move on.

While I have reluctantly decided not to participate in the share offer, I notice the increase of negative posts and wonder why these posters don’t just sell up and move on.

I personally view CHAR as a ‘banker’ and it will remain at the core of my small portfolio.

Three of my holdings and not even tradable, at present, which says a lot for AIM.

I believe to company has a well balanced set of interests, which could each in turn start to deliver revenue and profits. Additionally, there is the prospect of a new play in Namibia.

The non oil bases energy projects were always going to take time to develop to fruition but they are developing.

The downturn in share price has affected many share on this market, not just CHAR.

An increase and better days are on the horizon, and I will patiently await that sunrise.

If true, they will not get any of my shares. Fortunately I do not need to sell.

There’s oil in them thar wells, and I’m waiting for it.

Thank the gods that this financial uncertainty is now behind us. I am aligned with your comments entirely.

Once the dust settles after this raise, and the inane selling desists, I believe we will see a steady rise towards where the share price should be.

Fundamentally, there is value in each division of the company. The problem is that it is not tangible at present. Investors want to see £££’s being banked and shared out, not being spent.

Those £££’s are not far away.

Hopefully this dismal, continual reduction in share price will bottom out soon, and the various catalysts we know are there will kick in and leave us all smiling.
