Many of us are probably more aligned on the science and it’s prospects of success than we are sometimes given credit for.When quotes like the Vulpes DD which stated they thought it was the best science they ever came across and that is what made them buy in and the various external validations like CRUK and Bion Tech then of course we become more positive and confident and the SP goes up.
Sentiment ebbs and flows so when these validations appear not to progress then the converse applies.
Some here have an unerring confidence in the science and that is fine as it gives them total faith in buying more.Some on here myself included are more sanguine and hence a hesitancy to buy more until I get more information.
It does not make any of us right or wrong and for those in one share the decision maybe do I buy more today or tomorrow whereas if you are in several shares you may well sell here for a variety of reasons,distressed,bored,you consider better opps elsewhere,think SP going to fall etc.
But you may still believe in the share.
I still maintain the science will determine the outcome here but it is science that is validated by a deal or by data and so far we have seen excellent swimmer chart data but there are obviously some reservations expressed by the wider industry.

I understand where you are coming from and although the cost of individual treatments is huge the market is tiny.
FWIW the sales opportunity of the product you mention would be about 25th on my list

Interesting set up and I know of the NXC. The potential market especially in US is big and this is real cutting edge. Apart from a couple of huge current areas the Vet market is always behind the human side science wise but although this type of treatment is really expensive it is so niche and very few insurers will pick up the bills.
Don't believe that what Noel Fitzpatrick does is the norm lol.

Evening RR I would say the 2 issues are very connected.
If it proves that SCLP makes a big contribution towards battling cancer everyone will be handsomely rewarded.
If most lose all their money I guess the science will have failed to make a big contribution.

Hi Bermuda and Dalester,
Have some experience of cancer Vax in Vet use including one for melanoma in dogs. The big Vet markets are FeLV whereas the Vet oncology ie melanoma in dogs is very specialised and extremely niche.
There are a tiny number of Vet oncologists Including RGs son and the market us simply not there.

You can usually guarantee that when something does not make sense like Acacia drip feeding the market it will suit someone’s agenda but no matter.We know it is not about keeping it within a range to do a future raise bit may be about allowing someone to accumulate more or some other reason.
At some point soon they will be out and the shackles will be off so please be patient abdvuse it as an opportunity to acquire more or sit and wait.
If the SP was falling and there was a possible downside with little newsflow then it could be a different matter but all the signs are that the SP will only likely move in an upward trend

Evening just listened to presentation and sounds very good.
Would not get too hung up on trying to predict the exact price of Immutex just be pleased he is valuing it above the current market cap as a big Brucie bonus which will be likely returned to SH.
So effectively giving you your current shareholding back to you within a few months and then having a free ride for the rest of the business.
This is a constantly changing situation and all you need is a couple of bug bidders and the Price will be radically different.
If anyone does not believe that the SP will not be materially higher by end of 2020 than what it is now then I don’t know what will convince you.
Whether it is 20p,30 p or 40p we simply don’t know but I sure am predicting we will all be a lot happier in the months to come.

I recall it was 12/20 who have enquired like you said and CF was confident of closing several deals as the choice of places to carry out these challenge studies is strictly limited.
You are right in that big pharma would prefer to do work separately and cash is not a concern for these players.
Yes would be interesting to find out about any additional beds and the type of arrangement with Orph as would indicate how big an opportunity CF sees.
Will wait to see what comes out of presentations but really want to see news of this Tier 1 pharma deal he spoke about a few weeks ago as that name will be another great external validation imo

You may not believe me but I not a trader by choice and much more comfortable being an “ investor” as I don’t normally have time to watch the screens and TBF I am not very good at it as don't really understand market mechanics, TA etc.
Of course like most others you can possibly predict how an SP is going to move on news or sentiment but the key bit is the “ entry point” and if you get that right you normally do OK.
As for here like yourself I keep a core holding and then traded some if the occasion demanded.In some cases I made money and on other occasions I lost but I don’t subscribe to the view that it is only a loss if you sell.
If your average is 15p and you sell at 10p to me that is much better than not selling and waiting until the price drops to 5p which has been the long term trend here over the last few years.
The thing that has altered to me is the proportion of my position in my core as opposed to the amount I was happy to trade and that has changed enormously over the Katz 12-18 months.
I adjust it according about how I feel are the prospects here and elsewhere and consider that is a sensible approach but each to their own.
I do not want the SP to drop down here but if it does then like others I may look to trade but that is the opportunity has come to me.
None of what any of us says on a BB will influence the SP and yes I would prefer more updates not because I want the SP lower as some insinuate but because I want to make informed decisions about my investment here.

My point is if Sally was quite happy at an AGM to answer the question with July why did the Company wait until 24th October to inform us when I recall daily BB speculation about the situation and what was issue.
No one expects SCLP to release any material news except in an RNS and that includes specific questions on funding however imo that does not preclude them from giving general updates say with RNS R or presentations or indeed answering general questions about how they make seek to finance the science moving forward.
On most other AIM Company I am in the BoD recognise their duty to regularly communicate to their SH.In fact I can think of one who is doing 3 separate presentations the next 2 days and before anyone says they have done a recent capital raise and the CEO is happy to talk about how they intend to monetise the assets.
I am in other AIM outfits which take a similar approach to here which is being circumspect in communicating with SH and not surprisingly a lot of PIs just move on.
Again would not be an issue if we had huge institutional support but that is not the case here

But can you understand why Investors get frustrated when it states a short delay and 12 months later we still don’t know what exact issue is.
This is the kind of communication which is required rather than just left in the air for us all to come to our own conclusions.
Very few PIs have an enduring confidence in any share particularly when things are nit updated so we can’t make informed judgements

One and only question I asked at last AGM I attended was When did SCLP become aware of the delays in SCIB 1/Combo which was RNSd on 24th Oct,2918.
I was told by Sally Adams it was July.
Will leave it up to others to decide whether SCLP could have told us earlier or did they RNS it on 24th before the AGM.

Their strategic focus is on Orphan Drugs areas high cholesterol and EB.
Whoever buys Immutex will likely already be a Vax supplier and that list is not big one but all those players have deep pockets

Thanks for considered reply.
I could have picked other egs and the one you highlight is another very good case in point as we know this was first RNSd in December 2015 but equally there has been some feedback re the delays and I accept some of them but do agree with your sentiment.
There may have been some feedback on the Bion Tech eg at the AGM but again it would be nice to have it confirmed as ongoing and get some general update as what it has led to.
Snippets and speculation based on “ patentable processes” which we know just leads to more questions should imo be replaced by regular updates from SCLP which no one should have to interpret or try and 2nd guess.

Anyway sure we will get some news soon and agree Lindy is brilliant but the science us only half the story in any investment imo

The science of most of the pharmas does go over the head of many investors you only need to be in a few to see that.
But what they do understand is delays and lack of SH communication which of is the job of the pharma to explain the science assuming they want/ need investors which obviously SCLP need.

One simple example which I would be happy for anyone to say is acceptable as I don’t think it is.

The Bion Tech/SCLP partnership was agreed on 9th Jan,2018. To my knowledge there has been no further SH communication on this matter or update as to whether it is still in place or what if any the outcome has been.

So does anyone think this is “ acceptable “ or do we just sit like the proverbial mushrooms until told otherwise.

At the AGMs I have attended I have never asked a question about funding out of a total of 4 questions asked.
How you are supposed to know whether the BoD were defensive or not I really don’t know. I am referring to 2017 and 2018 which I attended and you did not as you could not afford the petrol money.
Bit like you being so defensive now.
You get a new poster with no axe to grind which gets 11 recs so chimes with a few folk but you still find fault and the fact you don’t think SCLP needs to improve SH communication just shows how out of touch you are

I would love it if they changed their style of management and engage more with the market but I am not optimistic about that happening.When Vulpes came in board that seemed the ideal opportunity to change direction but that has not happened.

At AGMs I have found them very defensive but love in hope that they will reverse that trend however this years affair is likely imo to be a Virtual one so they may get away with their preferred modus operandi.
But very welcome comments and thanks for putting them forward.

Think what is important is the better utilisation of capacity than these new deals will lead to so a much better “ occupancy rate” and that in itself will lead to a large increase in profitability as the marginal cost will be so low.
