Totally agree and if the decision was only made on Monday it shows hiow close they are to getting this right

The process would be the FDA would simply not accept the NDA as complete and give their reasons why.MTFB would be then able to respond. However it would be a major setback and would embarrass MTFB as not being thorough enough and probably put the timelines e back by 6-9 months so you can understand the importance of getting it right or giving it your best shot first time around

Morning All Sorry tied up with a work meeting first thing this morning and just really had chance to look at board. Obviously disappointing news and we know how AIM reacts to any delays.So about right so far imo The March 7th presentation still said NDA expected to be Q1 and recent I/vs with GL indicated it was on track. So my take is it was a bit touch and go re hitting Q1 deadline and they have decided to alter timeline in view of they are attending 2 conferences in next 2 days and would have been asked about it. So still expect very early in Q2 as confident it is not anything major or behind the scenes. Again if you know it is not 100% watertight or complete then you do not submit as any non acceptance will delay things a lot more. They have missed a deadline but this is the first one ever and they are a very small team.So does not alter anything here for me apart from an extra month or so but there is nothing new they need to do submit any competitor info in the package. ATB

Yes was not trying to suggest you can�t make prognostic indicators as to which patients are more likely to develop AKI such as degree of renal impairment and other co morbidities such as diabetes. My point was to say different hospital decision making units will adopt different policy�s re which standard of care drug to recommend depending on attitude to risk/cost etc. The 33% figure was really to separate out mild/moderate and severe renal impairment but to get actual numbers and proportions it is in last Corporate presentation but I am confident that many of these committees will decide to recommend Iclaprim but will also vary depending on various factors

You are absolutely right. Committees will decide which treatments will be standard of care in hospitals for particular groups of patients such as renally impaired patients so they are faced with decisions like. 33% of patients if they receive Vancomycin which is cheap as chips will develop AKI which wil on average cost $17000 or simply does not work and costs a lot more and possibly be subject to a legal claim if the patient dies or gets severely ill OR they can prescribe all patients in this group with Iclaprim at a cost of $3000. The trouble is you do not always know which 33% mY develop AKI

Listen to the podcast posted at 1958 yesterday on here They are targeting patients who if they used Vancomycin would likely induce AKI(Acute Kidney Injury) which costs on average $17000 to treat. They are not competing with Vancomycin
