Really good news going into the W/end and SP is solidifying. Whether a trader or an investor or a fundamentals or a TA guy it does not matter as presumably a rising SP suits us all even if our time frames and MOs may be different. Of Salaies bs Group turnover of a Company like Merck are meaningless. The point is GL took a two thirds pay cut to come to MTFB. We know his package is much higher than most PIs but it is the going rate.We may not like it but this if GL wanted to coin it he would have stayed with Merck.

They did not have to raise and yes could have waited until July what if the capital markets were bad due to an u forseen circumstance like Middle East conflict or worries over the Brexit deal. No guarantee the SP would be much higher then and demand for shares just might not be there. Also they need to advance the potential partner negotiations and these can start earlier now they have the cash. They would have to start in July/Aug anyway so MTFB hardly in a strong position if other party and market knew they needed money

PS The NDA submission imo. Is totally unrelated to the current raise and all things are in track fir Q2 submission yes after originally promising Q1

Think the timing of placement is related to the fact there was a demand for shares at 31p to cover the funding gap to FDA decision.This opportunity may not be available due to market uncertainty caused by things outside of MTFBs control and the SP has been trading on a very narrow range for a long time so no guarantee about a rising SP in next 2 months and any placing then would just bring us back to where we are now. GL will always take the bird in hand rather than 2 in the bush and the first US raise caught them out following the Bexit vote where the capital market sentiment was awful. They know their preferred options Re partner deals and have had several discussions.. They need to confirm the way forward in July/August so know what the likely cost is moving forward and the6 have raised that money now. What does it tell us IPO.They won�t set up their own commercial organisation as this is big cost for US so either use a contract SF or do a partnering deal.. Then a partnership deal for ROW. They must be very confident of doing these deals as why would they initiate HABP and raise the money now.Dint forget they have been having discussions with potential oRtners so for them to be planning advanced discussions then they must have been satisfactory to both parties. For anyone to invest this amount of time and effort in means imo these will come to fruition. I will seek to get more. detail at the AGM and suggest anyone else can go or listen to the inevitable communications around this time.

Hannibal, Iclaprim is a good product.If you genuinely think it will compete with generics then much of my efforts have been wasted over the years. The market segmentation strategy for Iclaprim has been clear from day 1 and does not involve competing with generics

Tobias you say why do a placing now and means no partner deal likely.Totally disagree with that as sorting funding now means that they re in a better position to negotiate a better deal.This could be a ROW deal or maybe a global deal which would not happen if a ROW deal was announced. They are keeping all options open and the first duty of the BOD is to secure the future.Well they now have funding through to FDA approval so are secure as long as science holds up. Let us just wait and see Placing price/level of interest and exactly who is buying. Initiating HABP and decision of Invesco wanting more are huge votes of confidence to me in the future and as I am long it I don�t get too excited if it goes to 40p or too down if it drops to 30p. I am happier to have today�s drop as a result of a placing than simply dropped down to that level as happened before due to succession of ATs and bored PIs. Jason.The CEO of IMM was always much more bullish than GL here who is always quietly confident rather than vocal. Plus IMM was pre results which are the decision which makes or breaks the science. Just got out of meetings. Obviously not happy with fall in my PF but happy with Invesco and others wanting to buy in.All about placing price and yes is lot of short term pain not just for SH but for likes of Invesco. But they want more so obviously like me have confidence in long term here.Funded through to FDA Approval and can start HABP so BOD are confident. Do have questions for them at AGM but just accept short term stuff and see where it settles but nothing has changed regarding prospects here and allows them to negotiate freely. Just hard to accept coy,d have sold some and bought back cheaper

My nerves are very calm just patiently waiting for NDA submission news which I expected in May at earliest rather than April.They have started the rolling submission so likely a large part has been submitted but just need that RNS to begin the 2 month response countdown. Little contact with GL as know he is extremely busy but he will likely be across for AGM next month and plenty of time to ask questions then.
