I like this part from the 26th June RNS...... Our current priority is to conclude the commercial terms and, within that framework, create a deal whereby Nu-Oil benefits from a financial structure that creates significant value for shareholders and avoids dilution. Such a structure has been developed and is being negotiated. Anyone have any idea how this would work, without giving away a greater percentage of the assets for cash upfront? As we would need cash by end of this year/early next year to avoid dilution. Or our they envisaging income from production by then? If it's the latter, then the next few months would be transformational for NUOG. Apologies if these may seem a stupid questions, but my knowledge of NUOG is far inferior to others here.
Anyone having problems getting on this through a mobile phone? Normally works fine, but have not been able to get to desktop since yesterday morning?
Don't worry Lastthrow, all posts from KC are now suddenly optimistic! Seadog, great posts, and a good reminder of why people are here. You must have had no problems at school, when the teacher asked you for a 10,000 word essay by Monday!
Good to see the price hold above 1p going into the weekend. I am not banking on next week being "the week," but never say never.
KC, if there is price sensitive info in the podcast, then there would be an RNS dropped beforehand. Yes, there may be a delay, nobody knows yet. But even if there is, I don't think the LTH will pack up and leave. They haven't yet.
Well done to anyone that has been here for eight years! You must have had quite an emotional rollercoaster. That's what it's like sometimes. Well, if the rollercoaster is the share price, who knows, it could turn out to be one that has the long upward climb at the end, instead of the start!
If I had a Range Rover Vogue SE, I would be getting ready to sell it on Autotrader for £1,000,000!! Lol
Morning Lastthrow, you can shout as much as you like, I don't mind. NUOG does have a certain feel about it. I am here because looking at the assets, and the fact that we can still buy shares for around 1p seems incredible, and gives me that gut feeling that the time is now. My comments about WOBWAT were not aimed in a bad way, and I meant no offence. I was just trying to get across, that people can never fully trust a posters comments on these boards, and base their investment on it. I have read your posts long enough to see that you come across as a genuinely good person. We could do with a few more of those! I certainly won't be making £400k on NUOG, but hoping for a good result. I Lost income earlier in the year due to time off work recovering from an op, and not long after that, had to change my car at a time I didn't have the money to. So really could do with this one working out, and getting back on my feet again. 40 years investing is a long time to be in the game. I hope to match that one day. I have always loved watching the markets, thanks to my parents investing for me when I was 7! I did manage to hold on to that stock for 34 years! Did very well based on the original investment, and due to circumstance, made the decision to sell it this year. I won't be holding for that long again! But if it comes to it, I know I can!! Have a good day Ivor
Thank you Lastthrow, Yes, I have no time for agenda driven posters. But they will always be around unfortunately. I saw the TR-1, you are a brave man, and I hope it works out very well for you and your family. I don't know WOBWAT, and have nothing against said poster, but I would like to think that this time the person "in the know," actually is, "in the know." Seen it too many times before on other boards, and usually turns out that they were never "in the know." I only have four figures invested here, as it is all I can do, and more importantly, an amount I am happy to risk. I usually look for several hundred percent profit, which sounds greedy, but we all know it's possible here, and have seen it happen on so many other stocks. If NUOG achieves that for us, I will be very happy. All the best Lastthrow.
Thanks seadog, I did catch the posts from WOBWAT before they were deleted.
Afternoon Joey, believe me, I would love that, but being in other stocks that endlessly say it's just around the corner, I have to tell myself to prepare for a long wait. If it is next week, it would be the best timing I have made to date! Talking about deleted posts, I just looked at my own history. 639 posts gone?? No idea what that is all about.
In four years of reading LSE boards, I have never seen a board have so many posts removed, almost on a daily basis! I can understand some disappearing, but not all. Good to see some familiar names here including Lastthrow. I don't know him personally, but I remember he replied with a nice post to me on another board, after my dad passed away in 2016. I have recently expanded my portfolio with NUOG, as I have been looking for something else on the verge of great things. But we could argue over that applying to most companies! I don't post much these days, but if a deal lands this year, then we should all have something to talk about. All the best to all holders.
As far as I know, the only way you can "roll it over" for another 20 days, is by selling and repurchasing. But more importantly, it helps massively if you actually have money in the bank in the first place to pay for the deal!! I can't believe you have done that. You will have to spend tomorrow busking. Sorry I can't be more help, but my understanding of such trades is limited, as I have never done one, and most likely never will. Good luck Willowpillow.
I would like to get back into the fishing. Have been away from it for too long. I could tell that when I found out the price of this year's licence, and local permit! Overtime needed! Talking of which, now off for the first of five, twelve hour nights. Enjoy your evening.
Don't worry, I won't tell your cardiologist! Yes, it's great news. We have all seen the weather change in our lifetime. Becoming more extreme. The possibility of calming it down to what it was, or even stabilising it, is an exciting prospect.
Thanks for that Kenrun, very interesting. I remember over twenty years ago, reading about CCS (carbon capture and storage) which was supposed to be implemented with every new coal burning power station. But very lengthy delays in the development of this technology, has led to not many having it today. The largest is in Texas, capturing 1.4m tonnes Co2 each year. This new idea is potentially very good news. But unless it generates billions in revenues for governments, then it won't happen. Going by the numbers, it looks feasable. Webmoor will be pleased. Massive gas guzzling cars, will become carbon neutral!
We have been trying to stay positive for years. Around 85% share price drop from last years high. At times like this it feels like it will never go up again. It will eventually. The trouble is, I hope to retire sometime in the 2040's. I don't want to check in on the board in 25 years time, to find Kejoglo still telling us "the time to buy is not yet!" Maybe by then NR will be releasing an RNS to say he has raised £50m in a dilution to invest in mining asteroids! Have a good day all.
Not concerned. Still in profit. Probably below 1.5p would be a bit disappointing. But still nothing that would worry me, we've been there before. One day it will go up again!
Afternoon Steve, please don't give NR any ideas! Lol. I don't bother posting much here now, but still waiting like everyone else. Although it's been so long, I can't remember what it is we are waiting for! Have a good day.
Over 26 hours without a post. Have not seen that for a long time. Everybody must be at the Hong Kong conference! Reminds me of another stock I held for around 7 years. I caught up on 2 years of posts in around 15 minutes! Oh well, back to waiting for any new developments. All the best.
