Thank you LT, My left leg is out of action for a while. Started physio recently, so hoping to get it going again soon. I think the best medicine would be a share price in double figures! I can dream!
LT, thought it was a long shot. As I am off work recovering for at least the rest of the year, it gives my mind time to think about all kinds of scenarios! Looking forward to seeing what happens next.
I am guessing that LT was told this, which made him an insider. He then sent a private message to Seadog, who knew he would only have a week away from the board! Just a theory. Suspension tomorrow at 07:00 please. I wouldn't want anybody to lose money, but there are certain characters I would like to see on the wrong side of the portcullis when it is dropped. But having said that. We will probably have another week of silence! Lol
Afternoon LT, good to see you had a positive meeting, and thanks for the little feedback you could give us. We now have more insiders, less outsiders, and a few Inbetweeners! Hi Seadog, I noticed you are not posting further until news is released. If we don't have news for six months I think you could have so many posts building up you may explode! Lol (just kidding) All the best.
Hello WOBWAT, I would say that is a pretty accurate guess! I have not held there for years, and never posted there anyway. Just occasionally look in, to remind myself that the NUOG board is not that bad!
While we wait for something to happen here, I thought I would share an observation I made while reading another board this morning. Which highlights just how unbelievably impatient some people are, and no doubt, the main reason why people like this lose all of their money... Poster: "I can't believe I bought into this dog of a share." When did this person buy in?.... Yesterday!!.... hmmmm.....
Good luck with the meeting Lastthrow, and thank you for going to the trouble of arranging it. I am sure we would all love your opinion to remain "STRONG BUY". We have a 1/7 chance of it staying. If I was a gambling man.....oh, hang on, I am, that's why I am here!
Seadog, Jester, Lastthrow, thank you for your good wishes. Enjoy your holiday Seadog, they always go too quickly. Jester, good to see you are optimistic now! Lastthrow, I hope you don't have to take a long drive next week!
Thanks Ben. Waiting for news can be painful, but it's more painful watching daytime tv!
Thank you Fc1865.
Morning all, I know there are many desperate for an update. But releasing an update to say flow test not started yet, and marginal field deal still being negotiated is only going to make the share price go in one direction. The timescale for finalising our first deal is clearly taking a lot longer than the bod suspected it would. I have no idea why they came across as though it was imminent months ago. I think the main reason the share price has held up reasonably well in recent months, is because holders like me, have that feeling that selling out means massive news the next day! So we sit and wait. While others trade the arse off of it. I don't hold enough to even make it worth attempting to trade it regularly. But what I do hold could give me a good return with the right kind of news. I am laid up for a while now after a nasty accident at the weekend. So will do what I can to keep hold of my shares. Most likely including going back to work earlier than I should. But not sure if I need surgery yet, so got to wait and see. Now all we need, is the right kind of news...
Thank you YingTong.
A very good point Timbo. Why, if you believe something to be fake, and you genuinely believe this to be the case, would you announce it on the board on a Sunday? Anyone would keep quiet, and bail on the Monday morning. By the look of it, it only spooked one person. And I should imagine, some posters that are always negative. Probably are holders, but they have been here for so long, they can't bring themselves to sell. Emotionally attached.
Royscot, I would have thought LT taking out a loan was a positive thing. If he thought we were months away from a deal, he maybe would have just sold some shares. LT has a huge amount of shares compared to most of us, and the loan shows he didn't want to risk reducing his holding at all, in case news landed before he could top his holding back up again. That's how I saw it anyway.
Can't argue with any of that. If the flow test had commenced, we would have been told. So for some reason, it's looking unlikely this year. I am not sure how long the window is before the weather puts any progress on hold? You never know, a stonking RNS could be being prepared for next week. We live in hope!
Royscot, I agree with everything you said, but whether a raise is for project financing, or general running costs, it is still a valid topic of conversation. And it is good to see it being discussed like adults! Without the doom mongers jumping in. I think it's just taken longer than was envisaged by the bod, when updating us earlier in the year. This is clearly a complex deal, and it needs to be done right. But I do completely understand shareholders frustrations. A week, a month, a year, can be a very very long time on AIM!
Thanks for reply seadog, I liked the last sentence, it made me laugh. Very true. If we do get a deal soon, there may be several people that remember that line, after seeing the share price, and wishing they had bought some. But of course, the risk is, it can also go the other way. Who knows. I can't help anyone at the moment, as my crystal ball has been sent away for maintenance!
Afternoon seadog, a good post, When you said this... "Even Minty is not going to do a placing at a price less than the last one - not this close to a massive deal" Surely when money is needed, a company would have to raise regardless of share price? They can't wait for it to go up higher than the last one. Historically, most AIM companies that have to raise, do so at an ever decreasing share price. I know we are working on a way to move forward without dilution, but we don't know the details of that yet, or when it will be? If this continues to go on well into next year, then how will the share price be higher before we need more money? Anyway, I am hoping that one reason for the silence, is they may be planning to announce two deals at once. Brazil, and the North Sea? Is that possible? That would grab the headlines. But I think we would all be happy with one for starters! Please don't think I have picked on that part of your post because I have jumped in the pond. I just wanted to comment as I have not posted for a while. I have just been sitting back, taking it all in, and working out which posters are genuine, and which are posting to suit their current trading position.
No, I am pretty sure squirrels would be talking about where to put their nuts!
I pretty much feel the same way Chinaman1. Don't post much, but do feel something changing in the sentiment. There are lots here that have seen this time and time again, so they will be holding back on the excitement until news officially released. Several have put effort into trying to work out which deal is likely to drop, and I for one appreciate them sharing their research. The thought of a deal landing soon is exciting, but we should remember that until it is released as an RNS, we really don't know what it will be and how much it will benefit our market cap. LT often says he can't look beyond 5pps. But a deal on the scale that some have been suggesting, would mean it would be difficult to keep the share price below 5p! Afterall, 5p is a market cap of ONLY £67m. And in this industry, I believe that to be very low.
