The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
ICSID - what they say should take approx. 3 weeks to approve/dismiss has now passed the 9 week mark. What is it with this claim that seems so straightforward yet so problematic ????
As for the RTO - well that is anybody's guess how that will turn out - no positive news from the Boards other than both parties appear to be pleased with the progress made to date - so happy for them, but not so happy for myself and fellow supremely patient LTH without a clue what is going on !! GLA
Donald Trump perhaps ?
Latest Development of the BIT claim : February 14, 2024 - The Secretary-General registers a request for the institution of arbitration proceedings. That was almost 6 weeks ago. The screening process takes three weeks on average, depending on whether ICSID needs clarifications, additional information or documentation from the requesting party. True to form us long term suffering investors are waiting over the odds for news on the next step : Registration or, heaven forbid, Refusal.

From RNS 9798U 29 November 2023 :
In accordance with rule 14 of the AIM Rules, the Company's Ordinary Shares will be suspended from trading on AIM with effect from 7:30 a.m. today. The Company's Ordinary Shares will remain suspended until such time as either an admission document is published, or an announcement is released confirming that the Proposed Acquisition is not proceeding.
The Company will release further announcements as and when appropriate.
RTO deadline date is therefore May 29th 2024, I believe.
The usual leave it to the last minute or go beyond scenario but, would AIM consider/permit such an extension request? Surely they would have to receive a very good argument for either and the board would have to explain via an RNS to us poor sufferers as to what the hell is going on. GLA
I fear you have summed this up in a nutshell & the Board, grabbing at straws, has once again been led up the proverbial : as have us LT investors. Note that the minimum 40% return to PFP is NET Recovery. The wording Reasonable Costs does not appear on the revised SPA, unless I am missing something, leaving the door wide open to "creative accounting". How idiotic to drop a minimum payout amount from the SPA. This complete farce has stunk from Day1.
Read the latest RNS !! Claim has been filed for Request For Arbitration - this should appear on the ICSID website within 3 weeks, if approved. As for the introduction of Luandwa Resources, this smells fishy to me. I have never trusted the Americans. First they default on the £2M, now a new entity Luangwa Resources LLC - filed Dec 2023 - is picking up all rights to IMM ? AAG were supposed to be the experts in recovering International Assets & agreed to do so under the SPA, not sell out. What the hell is going on?
So the latest deadline for the filing of the BIT is Jan 31st 2024 and the deadline for the RTO completion is Feb 17th 2024 -what are the odds ? anyone taking bets?
Unless I am mistaken, I would expect to see the claim filed here within the 10 days : https://icsid.worldbank.org/cases/case-database
My opinion is Hold onto what you have and a Strong Buy now if you fancy a flutter. Is the market beginning to wake up to the potential here ?? GLA.
What is it with these ridiculously small Sell trades? Someone attempting to drive/keep the share price down after all the hype and a small gain made yesterday? Loads of trades seen yesterday, but today? This share is enough to drive anyone to drink!!
GLA.
Everyone should be waiting for either the reply to the email sent to the CEO last week or the next RNS. I wonder which may happen first? GLA
OK, money in the client account but surely they have more than just one client. PFP was not mentioned as being the client concerned so an ambiguous statement. Americans are pretty cute when it comes to business deals so could it be , let's string this outfit (PFP board) along and play games. Share price goes down below £2M cap, opportunity then looking favourable for a hostile takeover and saving us $$. Pure speculation as always. GLA.
My Member Name says it all, that is the only reason I have been invested here since 2012. So what if the AAG deal goes mammaries up? Another Court Action, probably, with a large damages case for a breach of contract : should be relatively straightforward. That still leaves PFP owning IMM and looking for another suitor to persue Mozambique. Any damages awarded could be used for the battery business - the future is still rosy for PFP. GLA.
Adamsky,
You have nothing to apologise for !! I enjoy your no nonesense and realistic posts, the vast majority of which I agree with 100%. Thank goodness squirrel child appears to have been kicked off this post board at last !! The end is in plain sight now for all of us LTH. GLA.
Could not agree more - action taken.
Could not agree more Bugzy - his childish, misspelt remarks and posts have been a continuous annoyance. Good luck to all serious PFP investors and posters - our patience should soon be rewarded at last.
Who can you trust in these times? I am crystal balling a bit but, with the share price dropping after supposedly great news, I am wondering if a consolidation is on the cards? This could happen before or after completion and an issue of new shares to try to raisee the £6 million needed to gain re-entry to AIM? That would be good reason for the "great news" upswing to since drop as it has, I think. On the other hand, a non-completion would prove equally as challenging to the SP. Thoughts anyone? GLA
I say, Keep Selling and drive the SP down to a new all time low before the GM is called. I am hedging my bets on this happening before buying back the same number of shares I sold from my holdings previously and profitably.
As a LLLTH already, I would be very interested to know of any easier ways to gamble and win money !!
GLA.
Mornin' Adamsky, thanks for the pointer. I cannot understand why the SP has dropped on such good news this week - hopefully it will improve when the deal is signed. This share has certainly tested my patience!! GLA.
