Jason PAUL Brewer, born September 1969, is the ex Senior Manager(non Director) of Caracal.

Surprised someone hadn't reported your post on those grounds. Don't think it deserved 8 recommendations.

Other parts are correct, but Africa can be a tough place to do business and in all his history(which I read after dipping my toe in), he's never been an insider seller, which some keep referring to.

He's clearly been an instrumental part in getting the new team on board; he has the contacts in the industry and is a deal maker, so I never thought he'd stay around. Spoke to him on 3 occasions and he was a very descent guy that took the time out to answer my questions, we're he was allowed to.

Completely agree that it doesn't matter to the future of GCAT, shame I couldn't vote it up because of the link to the wrong JB.

Caracal Gold (GCAT LN) has announced first production from the new heap leach plant. This is the first 5,000t installation in what is expected to be expandable in a modular fashion helping the company to achieve its target of exceeding 24kozpa production in the medium term. The company has 15,000tpm of capacity currently and has near term plans to increase this to 20,000tpm given the initial success of the first pad.

GCAT has a stockpile of aound 30,000t which can be immediately treated with average grades expected to be in excess of 1.4g/t Au, although this will be variable. The heap leach pad will also be able to accommodate low grade ore sourced from the underground mining operation at Kilimapesa, helping to improve overall efficiency of the operation.

We note that the reported recoveries of 53% achieved in the first 14 days are indicative and typically increase over the full cycle reported as 60 days; our assumption longer term is to be closer to that of the broader plant. 14 days was, however, long enough for first gold to be poured hence the milestone announcement.

GCAT continues to make strong progress towards fulfilling its production targets and we highlight that in tandem with the capacity expansions drilling has been underway at Kilimapesa and exploration results are due providing further potential share price catalysts.

We reiterate our Buy recommendation and 4.2p/sh. target price.

That's the RTO placing price back last year of 1p, so IMO your barking up the wrong tree.

They've also previously stated that the additional NSE listing will not raise new funds, although things could have changed since those comments.

TBH, i'd probably press the accept button on the buy quote if I knew the seller would clear and who it was. Certainly wouldn't be able to buy in bulk after it's cleared! So i'm with Bebeto and we've go to the price that has been agreed.

It's as if the buyer(who would take my 6.25m at 0.96) is saying to the seller out there, let's meet in the middle, hence the 1p trades? Just my guess.

Caracal Gold (GCAT LN) has provided a progress update on the heap leach plant where installed capacity is now 5ktpm or 60ktpa; from this production can commence while the broader increase to 20ktpm is achieved in a modular fashion alongside the existing capacity. This initial pad has been loaded with ore and is being commissioned currently. This is an important step in GCAT raising its output level from the current capacity of around 12kozpa to at least 24kozpa. This circuit is being designed to treat low grade tailings type material, of which GCAT has 40kt stockpiled from the last few months, in addition to the historic tailings facility and other low grade opportunities the company has identified.

The flexibility that this extra circuit adds is important for improving the mine’s efficiency and economics and is a low cost route for producing extra ounces from low grade material while not diluting high grade material from underground going into the main circuit. Depending on the grades, which may vary significantly given the nature of the feedstock, the incremental production of this initial module could add a few hundred ounces per month or as much as five hundred ounces per month assuming grades of up to 0.5g/t Au and recoveries in line with our other assumptions for the plant of around 70%.

With the recent appointments to strengthen the team this is starting to have a material impact on progress on the ground helping GCAT to achieve its milestones all with a backdrop of rising gold prices.

We reiterate our Buy recommendation and 4.2p/sh. target price.

20k tpm is double the previous plan of 10k tpm, which was stated in the Q4 operational update last month.

For Caracal to get to the position they are now, being debt free, meant a lot of debt for equity being done at the RTO. That's just my guess as to who the seller has been.

Goldplat are locked in for the shares they got at RTO, but they weren't for the outstanding $450,000 owed, which was supposed to be settled by cash, but instead got converted to equity(GDP RNS 22/12/21) and later sold.

Another point bearing in mind is the deeper intercept are not really deep, as after all they are drilling above surface level on the hill. Although from Robbie's comments the other day, none of the RC holes sound like they are going past 100m, if they've drilled 15 RC holes for 1,500 already. But the DD holes, which obviously take a lot longer to drill each metre than RC ones, are going to around 200m."

Further comment : I believe they are drilling on the other side of the Hill to previous drilling(that's the impression I get when I chat to JB), so confirming that the narrow veins extend to the other side will confirm the strike length.

I'm holding strong and expect the SP will start to move with the news flow. Just needs more awareness of what they do in the PI world.

However, I don't think that day will come, as if the herd arrive this will motor due to the way it moves on small volume. I expect and I'm confident of this, that they'll be bought out before PI buying pushes it north, when they turn cashflow positive.
