OKLO haven't even started their PFS yet(@scoping study atm), yet their resource is valued at $100/oz and they're in Coup country!

Simba was a lot more early stage and although a lot of drilling had been done and a resource defined, it would require more money and time to get the stage of Nyakafuru, that has had all the studies done on it.

Once the mine at plant at Nyakafuru is online, then it would make sense to pursue the acquisition of Simba, as it's within trucking distance.

To think GCAT is valued at half a certain company( ;-0 ) that hasn't even hit a single intercept of gold yet!

I'm just guessing it's the same in Q1, that would make sense though, but it would be nice to know.

I'm 100% with you on the detail of the Q1 report, I was expecting a lot more, so I ended up coming up with my "guess". But the company have said more detail will be cascading in the future on everything. Fingers x'd

The Elution plant was the bottleneck in Q4 as you mention.

IMO and I have no info to prove, it's been the same in Q1.

I do know(when I asked in an open Q&A with RM), that they have made improvements to it, but the expanded plant required has some long lead items. Not sure how long though those are and when it will be commissioned.

In previous interviews a while back, the Government were talking to GCAT to see if they can work closer with Artisanal miners, to stop all the pollution they were making through use of Cyanide, amongst other pollutants.

The talk was of GCAT processing Artisanal miners ore.

Maybe that's the reason for a 1.2mt pa pad?

That was Artisanal miners being shutdown without proper EIA approval. But yes the company should have mentioned that.

A lot of the measured would have been mined already, that's why the converting to measured is key in the upcoming resource statement, which is what they are doing.

As always you have to remember they are doing things the other way around by having a plant, but not enough measured to feed it. Which is the opposite of he usual progression of a company building a Resource, converting those ounces to Reserved, after being backed by a feasibility study, to then be able to submit a business case to get funding to build a mine/plant.

Maybe that's some some are waiting before investing.

It's as if UBS are taking them, then moving them somewhere else. But there's no volume to support this.

I did email the company the other day, but no response, which is annoying. I could guess on what's going on, but that's all it would be.
