Beginning to get exciting now and we could be in for an interesting month with the year end results due but importantly an update. I'm a LTH in BZT so hope sentiment will overflow into them as well.

I feel PJ has said too much not to make a success here. We have multiple prospects and any one will change the landscape for POW. PJ is also well qualified with numbers and having a fair amount of skin in the game provides confidence.
In a couple of months we will have a well balanced portfolio IMO.

Yes - you would have thought that not being allowed to attend the meeting and messing about with the Agenda after the close of play the day before the meeting, they would have had the courtesy to update investors.

Gripping stuff - the update was what I expected.

A little positive interest so we are not forgotten.

If there is to be one they will already have it ready to post once the meeting has closed.
It could be an interesting read as they will have a feel on how trade is going, finance and larger shareholder activity. Although I suspect the larger holders are content to sit with what they have without adding.

Yep, that was the way I read it. Looks as if they must have asked or been told by the major holders to take it off the table. Perhaps they do not want to be diluted when there could be cheap money around. A bit suprised there is no RNS re an AGM trading update but given that its behind closed doors they don't need to.

What does it mean?

Tiger has just over 6.5m and African Power another 2.5m - neither a lot but it's shows the need to perform for Tiger investors.

Wednesdays AGM but no one will be there. So an update will be provided on current trading and prospects. Will there be any reference to the bid? I doubt it as HRNet need do nothing at this stage. If trading is picking up then we may see another interested party turn up and that will excite HRNet. An interesting week.

So what do we think - RBD have until 5pm on Wednesday 12th August to make an offer or walk. Would S&S have made a tentative move in the first place if they were not interested? I think not, have they been engaging with the largest shareholder? Possibly. Will they come back with an improved offer? Possibly. Could another interested party turn up to grab the £13m in cash, the other prospects and the near £13m of tax losses. Possibly. An interesting week ahead.

Thanks for your input Oiltap - an interesting read. I also continue to add here as I can see GLR becoming a major business during the next couple of years as CB divests the non core yet valuable assets. As you say he is at an age where he will need to, but not want to, hand over to a younger person. He may also want to see a coming together of his interests to form a formidable miner based on Africa. BZT when divested of some of its' assets may be a good.bed fellow going forward. We shall see but the resource sector is beginning to attract investors and CB is worth following IMO. GL

kenj - Sorry the holding I referred to is through Tiger where CB seems to have control. Bit misleading but I am sure CB will look upon the Tiger investment as more personal as he has a substantial interest.

Fortitude - the last update told us that Centurion was reducing its stock from 100 to 50 - not that I agreed with that but I know see that we have 104 cars in stock. What are we to beleive?

Over the more recent past there has been a fair number of resource stocks finding their way to market and getting a fair amount of coverage. Has this distracted investors away from established company s such as GLR and BZT not withstanding that both are controlled by CB and have impressive prospects. Nothing wrong with that as it helps stimulate the sector which seems to be the place to be. But if this is the case and many investors are missing a trick should we be adding to the CB interests?

The trick here Fortitude is to be ahead of those who are waiting for news. You need patience but if potential investors wait too long they will miss out on the real profit which as we know is in the lower prices when nobody appears to be interested. When news breaks I will be looking for 1.5p - 2.0p and following on we can see it move a lot higher. In todays climate resourse stocks are likely to be the real winners over the next couple of years or so.

So what are we waiting for - all the ingredients are within the company but investors are not interested until there is news flow. And this is the trick - buy ahead of the heard and sell into the rise. Also remember that CB has an interest of about 15pc and paid about 0.30p. Valuable prospects within the portfolio potentially worth millions.

Results mid August last year and I would think that we can a comprehensive review of the prospects that we have. IMO the current MC no way reflects the potential but I accept that the market only responds on results rather than potential. It's the canny investor who can see the potential value, has the patience and will be the real winner. CB is such an investor.

Will RBD increase its offer and get the support of the major investor? He will decide the future as the DOD are puppets. A two for one will go a long way although I expect a little more when you take into account the cash, the prospects and for RBD nearly £13m of tax losses which can be set off against the WN profit. So I fancy an offer of about 1.5p. If not then DELT will need to get the sp up a fair bit to justify not accepting.

I feel we are getting ourselves into position possibly for an acqusition. The resourse sector is the one to be in and the management will know this.
