RE: RE: The Covid 19 turbulence....................24 Jun 2020 23:43
I feel it is not so much the trading activities but perhaps the investments they have in their pre IPO holdings that will secure the future but these may of course require further funding. I'm not too sure about the property activities either as values have slumped as has rental expectations and thus yields. I do not question the ability of the BOD as they are no doubt well qualified. The problem is they walked into what they thought was a playground only to find that COVED 19 had left them in a mine field. The trick now is to navigate an exit which could be difficult notwithstanding the abilities of the BOD. We will see but in the short term pubs will have increased running costs with lower revenues - beer gardens are fine until it ****es with rain and the forecast for the first six months to the end of December may not be that good. Don't get me wrong Fortitude, I have a seasonable holding from the pre BARK days and need the current management to succeed. They are running their business programme as planned but C19 has changed the rules that are yet to be made available to the players.
