I would also like to call that into question. In my office I reckon we've achieved these savings.
Unfortunately I cannot prove that.

Just heard that the CWU released a message saying that this dispute would be resolved in talks and NOT in a courtroom.
That can be taken 2 ways though. I do find it odd that the CWU would say this (if it's true) if RMG are still going through the courts.
Unless of course they are showing that if they lose now, there is always the possibility of IA after xmas.
I wonder what Joe public would think if Mr Back allowed further strikes to go ahead by refusing to negotiate?
Now, that would be an eye-opener!!!
What on earth would happen to the price then?

Anyway. There is no way on earth that some rich geezer in a wig and frock is going to find in favour of the CWU. I hope to be proven wrong though.

The delivery process for the LAT items which are actually restricted to area.
A card is left to tell the customer that delivery will be attempted the following day. This is from the parent d.o.
Can you imagine the chaos if these items are not received in the d.o's. They may end up in any other d.o.
The addressee meanwhile, expects another delivery. Should it not arrive then the first port of call is the enquiry office.
Complaints will be rife.
Surely if RMG wanted a 2nd (or different) delivery it would've made more sense to keep all items in house.
Do you know how many hubs there are and there locations?

If you were to understand how RMG works, then you might understand what I mean.
There is no point in trying to educate as all you can see are £ signs slipping down the drain.
I can't blame you for feeling uneasy about the IA or what you may believe to be idle workers. You have been thrown a bone by some and your teeth have firmly sunk in, and you use these posts to support your deluded argument.
Let me tell you something. Virtually all the posties I work with are very hard working. You will get lazy in all kinds of employment. You cannot get blood out of stone. But this is what RMG are trying to do. IMO.

We all want the company to do well? Correct, but not on the eroded terms that will come in the future, IMO.
For you to keep all your jobs? Not if you believe some of your mob on here.
Make lots of profit and hopefully increase the share price? So you can earn more from dividends while flogging to death the man on the street?
I wasn't asking for your average ex-PP. But I still wish you luck long term.

I asked my manager how these hubs were going to work. Simple things like repatriation of undelivered items. Where they are actually delivered from.
The manager in question, one of the few I actually have time for, didn't know.
He said that he was not aware of any correspondence regarding my questions.
A clear sign that certain parcels will be a totally different entity.
I'd still like to know the answer though.
Maybe Mr Back thinks that the current employees in delivery offices, managers included, aren't very important in the grand scheme of things.

Oh well! Roll on Wednesday!
