For the more stupid here I will re-iterate my original post in a shortened version for the less attentive. And i'm going to put it in upper case. Big letters.

How has there been only 1 case of covid 19 within RMG? Allegedly? And with the daily contact inside and outside the office, how is there not more? Are the more knowledgeable here saying that it is safer going to work for RMG, than it is staying at home. That's government stipulation: hence self isolating.

Are all RMG staff immune to this virus?
It would appear by some of the posts on here that we are.
As one of the largest employers in the UK, and with the ground we cover, I find it odd that I ( please note " I " ) have read only one report, albeit vague, of 1 postie from Manchester who has contracted this virus. The reason I say odd, is because of all the people we, our families and our friends come into contact with. I'm in regular contact with at least 50 people a day in my office. Expand that and I wonder why there has not been more than 1 case within RMG.

It was basically the OM going to offices ( I can't imagine that MC's would be excluded) telling us about Mr Backs vision going forward.
He basically opened with "this is going to happen".
Reading from a script, and we have part 2 next week.
The reason I ask is because I can't see the point of it.
It was basically this board in my canteen.
Only one person has said to me that the meeting may have questioned his thinking. Now I know that was the objective, but the future for delivery staff and what they do, gets even more blurred.
Parcel delivery hubs were mentioned and the fact that there will be jobs for everyone, but not necessarily the same. But we knew that anyway.
VR was mentioned fleetingly although there were no questions about it.

@ wolvesposty. This meeting started at 7.30. We had part timers walking in at 8.30. That is very odd IMO. As these are the very people these meetings are targeting. 1hr 30mins wasted IMO

For clarity, as I wouldn't want to mislead.
Average payments for the 12 weeks prior to leave are the ones we are claiming back.
That is for the first 4 weeks of annual leave.
There was a 3 month window after your leave that you could claim, if you didn't, it was apparently lost.
The 1 year refers to the time span that some have apparently gone back to claim.
The devil is in the detail. Some posties get 6 weeks leave a year.
If it's not paid, I'll be very surprised. Because some have already been paid.
And these extra historical funds and the ones going forward, will be paid for by the owners of the company. You and I.

It has already been rolled out. Several posties in my unit HAVE BEEN PAID.
There are stories that some posties in my area have had it backdated for a year. I cannot confirm this though.
I'll say it again. If it's been verified that the claims are legal, and have been paid, if it's good for one it's good for all.

A few in my office have received and accepted, offers. These were for 1 or 2 weeks.

Apparently RMG put forward a proposal, which the CWU rejected right away because it would have meant that the majority of o/t workers missed out. I'm assuming yes.
If these payments are law, I don't understand why: 1 - RMG have not made these payments at all. 2 - Why have the CWU not been all over this? A/L O/T payments for S/A have been applied, but not standard O/T
