Also, what about all the other OEMs - what the hell are Toyota doing before Jul26 - whose won that? And Honda?thought they were doing something with super cruise

Completely agree with safestocks on that front as well, what the hell are the trucks/lorry manufacturers doing.

I'm beginning to wonder whether the legislation is actually going to drive the uptake, if it doesn't for some reason then we are years away from anything worthwhile as OEMs will just keep delaying.

Anyway, so unfortunately I can't get excited by that news then as I thought Magna was doing all of VW anyway and I would imagine others may have done as well.

I suppose it depends on whether we get an additional contract in value on top of the Magna 120m (I think it was) or whether the Magna contract now drops as some of this moves to Valeo

What we really need is that Japanese OEM contract that PM referred to last year, preferably over 100m

Is Colin saying that for cars that are hands off (level 2) the DMS will be part of the Valeo package

But for cars that aren't hands off i.e. standard level 3, 4 and 5 (if 4 and 5 still exist) - they will be Magna mirror for DMS and Valeo won't be involved in those?

If I'm correct then I assume it should be SEE in all levels, which is the impression I was under anyway just with Magna.

So where does this leave Magna? Is this VW moving away from the Magna mirror for DMS?

No wonder there have been no more Magna wins.

And I still can't believe PM is coming over to London to tell us nothing new and more carrot dangling otherwise surely he will get it in the neck.

He said at the end of Oct that he expected more contracts in the first 6 months of this year, surely they are close and when they talked about finance options at the end of last year they said there were various options on the table and to date we have only seen one in Mitsu. Perhaps Samsung is another.

PM certainly needs to pull something out of the hat or he needs to be sacked along with Ive if his judgement turns out to be this bad ie buys loads of shares before serious issues hit the business.

Wouldn't surprise me if there is an announcement soon along the lines of the Mitsu one in that someone has taken a stake at a price of say 2.5p

If that's the case I can never understand how previous stakeholders feel ie magna and then Mitsu if someone comes in lower.

Anyway my wild guess is Samsung - as that LinkedIn post from KK still has me intrigued. It practically said it was now a reality so unless Samsung ditched SEE and moved to SEYE then the tech behind the Samsung tech must be SEE.

I would imagine Samsung are big enough to negotiate something like 2.5p

At least it would be seen as a sexy tech development and not a boring safety feature - most drivers would get excited by controlling the central console with their eyes to change music, heating, phone etc

It's also a long way off - I hope Magna don't sweep in their with a better/cheaper/neater solution which can be implemented in half the time.

Remember it's not about design wins it's about getting them to production.

But there is the problem.

Listen to the company in presentations, RNS, investor meetings etc... and it's a winner so why wouldn't you invest.

But that also causes the problem as they have said a lot that has never come true so how can people believe them now?

Breakeven has gone back and kpi's have dropped off significantly last QTR which makes me think that 125m is going to be another miss

It's quite clear the only thing that is going to change this are contracts and increasing kpi's and nothing what PM says.

The annoying thing is PM will probably be right for the first time with his prediction of the next two kpi's being flat!

Hamster, it's known news - everyone knows SEE are behind the Magna product highlighted on this webpage.

It turns into good news when Magna win more contracts from it until then we only have the VW win.

All these collaborations are good but they only turn great when contracts are won.

And so far that is the problem as we have been waiting for more sizeable contracts for 2-3 years now and as they aren't appearing when PM suggests they will (several times) the market is penalising the share price

Doesn't look like anything new is going to drop before this event so I guess it will all be about bigger up the latest collaboration with Mitsu and glossing over all the others such as Qualcomm, Magna and Valeo which are not pulling up any trees.

Why bother with it, just a waste of time and money because no II is going to believe the drivel and predictions PM is going to come out with this time as he has been proven wrong half a dozen times now if not more.

If it was before the guys comment then he could be saying that that is the wrong assumption about Valeo

So I see in the comments someone from Stellantis ADAS team has said Colin has made the wrong assumption.

Is that the wrong assumption about Magna hence the update or the wrong assumption about both magna and Valeo or the wrong assumption about SEE?

As always no one f***ing knows including Colin and it's all guesswork until PM grows a pair and starts informing the market and shareholders what business we are actually winning!

Apparently it was going to be the first 6 months of 2025 according to PM last October, but I think last week he pushed it back another 6-12 months

288 units - whatever happened to that 100,000 volume fleet contract that we were the only ones on the RFQ for?

I wonder if they will ever get the payback on gen3 - I think we all know the answer to that.

As for auto it seems OEMs are only going to put it in when forced to do so in any volume so guessing no half decent KPI's until July26 at the earliest.

And then it's only the EU - no where else in the world is even close to legislation

This is not getting above 5p for years.

No one is paying 10p for this - 6p if we are lucky
