Chris Heminway, Exec-Chair at Time To ACT, explains why now is the right time for the Group to IPO. Watch the video here.
if anyone wants to lend me approx. €600m I am happy to purchase these in one go?? I'm quite hopeful I can get a good deal for a bulk order :o)
I'm good for it BTW....
Definitely not... im not jumping ship for quite a while to come. Just curious as to see if he is holding or trading.
Did you say you bought back into BIRG around the €4.20ish price? You have had a nice little rise in the SP since then. Are you planning to hold this one or trade it and take your profit?
I'm sorry to hear you are one of those affected and that you are not in a financial position to sort the issue. Its a difficult situation but it will get sorted and THE GOVERNMENT will pick up the tab ultimately.
I get that you are angry and you clearly want your property fully demolished and rebuilt and someone to pay for it, even if that is the banks who have had no part in the cause if the problem.
You need to realise that if the banking sector was going into crisis over this believe me it would be reflected in the share price long ago as this is as you say "old news".
You will get sorted, in time. The banking crisis you are predicting is not going to happen. I'm not going to keep arguing the point back and forth and I wish you well with sorting out your home.
Regarding Pea Brain playingcards giving you an endorsement it means nothing. That turkey would vote for Christmas.
You are wrong on many points but as for the government pursuing the lenders, what are you actually on about?
A family property has already been repaired so I know quite a bit more than you might think.
Again, if u seriously think this is going to cause the "banking crisis" you predict then sell your shares now.
@ArdR Your scaremongering.
Do the sums before you post.
Approx 800000 principle mortgages in the country the last time I checked. Your figure of hou
Pyrite IS repairable in the vast majority of cases... mica is repairable in most too but more expensive and more work required. Some mica houses are not repairable but that is not the case in most. There is already a compensation scheme for both and its widely expected to be increased to higher compensation amounts.
Now calm down, the banking system will not go into crises over that. If you are that worried bout it then sell your shares.
That's what makes him thick.... ha ha...
I would be a little surprised if we have an official announcement regarding dividends until the start of October at the earliest when the dividend restrictions from the ECB are removed at the end of Sept if for no other reason than the aesthetics of it.
Just my opinion of course.
Save me a seat at that table... thats a feast not to be missed!!
@Playingcards
Your are a propaganda machine for SilverHorse....
The full article is still on the Irish Times website...

This is actually very good news... Great opportunity for the bank to buy back shares. The government stake in this bank has held back the share price for a long time. Many institutions wouldn't touch BIRG while the government has partial ownership... makes it far more attractive in the long-term. Obviously I'm not delighted at this short term dip on the s.p while the shares are disposed but this will fly very soon.
I bought more shares today... it's very hard to predict the bottom of a fall in the S.P but for me it feels like a very good top up price. Time will tell. GLA.
Most of you probably have already read this but here is a link for those who have not...

We need to be realistic. Of course a major event would have an impact on all share prices.
If a massive asteroid changes course and hits Ireland I expect BIRG to be wiped out... plus we would be dead. It doesn't mean that I calculate that into my forecasts. Those events catch us blind sided just like covid. If we were to apply those scenarios in our investment strategies then we would invest in nothing due to fear.
Regarding all the talk about why the share price has slowed it pace, it's worth taking a step back and looking at it's 12 month performance. if that growth level continued we would be looking at a share price of €14+ next June... which was never likely. Let the price find its new range and settle and new investors will bring the price on again as there is more to go in this run. I am quite heavy on BIRG but I just might top up if it falls another bit, I am very positive on the long term on this one.
@brushville - Charting isn't science and I tend to take it with a pinch of salt as it tends to be more accurate when there is a hive of activity
@ICARUS42 -
€3.00 S.P. Not going to happen...
@ playingcards
Any chance you might stop posting so much rubbish on this board? You posts are painful to read... the board is turning to plop because of people like you constantly posting nonsense.
A nice rise in the S.P...
and I'm getting a well overdue haircut later today. No Monday blues today.
GLA..
Fingers crossed it opens over €5 on Monday and holds firm... we are all looking forward to the next leg up.
GLA.
Yes, briefly and it has struggled to return there since. And does your opinion differ for the short term?
@ cooking
He says that he calls it as he sees it, not as what "Cooking" would like it to be ;o)
Also he said to remember he said it's imminent and not a forecast for 4 - 6 weeks time which is obviously higher.
He doesn't have the numbers for Euromillions draw tonight either... I did ask for you.
Personally, I will be just delighted to see it pass the 5.00 and hold that level as its bottom of it's new range.
GLA... onwards and upwards.
