First - ex divi 4th May 2023 for payment on 1st June Second - 31st Aug for payment on 22nd Sept 2023

Question for all:

What can you see happening after all the cost cutting exercise and downsizing, and when the Fibre rollout is complete over the next few years (or this decade)?

As BT does not create any amazing tech (yes they invest into start ups and existing techs), but what else do you think BT can do to wake up and become a beast again?

Firing veteran managers or workforce does not count I hear you write - something other than stating the obvious lol!

Honestly, curious for views on the future of the company as an investor in the company like many in here I would like to think are too.

@Fleccy: True - OFCOM did and still do have their way with BT (which yes another thorn in BT’s side)..but think it’s to control the beast to not monopolising everything, and making it “fair” for competitors? Or do you think there is a deeper reason?

Oh, I did not forget the purchase of EE - and it was good acquisition - in that it added to the quad play initiative that BT was trying to achieve at the time.

However, it is unfortunate that the cost of the acquisition from half a decade or so ago - is approximately the same as BT’s market capitalisation today.

@Fleccy - which is what you said earlier “it's a Net Income growth play through cost cutting.” Which I totally believe as well how this company operates.

It’s a real shame they did not advance their position in the tech World a few years back when they had the chance with all the cash billions to take advantage of the tech boom and make new income revenue streams, but wasted alot on football and licences. This is where I think BT have let the side down, and why the shareprice has declined since 2010 and has had to go back to the cost saving method.

All imho of course, but am sure some will agree BT missed a window to change the game - and are now lagging behind and paying double if not triple to try and catch up.
