2020 that was with RR.

It crashed to around 30p in early 2020 when COVID bit. I wonder how many schadenfreude comments there were back then on the RR board ?

All the LTH RR shareholders who bought at say £4.00 a year or two earlier had presumably " lost their wealth " when it crashed to around 30p in early 2920 I presume. Except that they would have trebled whatever they put in by now had they not crystalised a temporary paper loss.

Same for Rockhopper holders who had bought in 4 or 5 years ago. Same for many recovery play shares.

Who would have thought it - shares go up and down in value as the fundamentals shift. DOH....

Take a look at a post on the LSE Trustpilot from early 2020. One demented person at the time was complaining bitterly about the MATD ramping going on at the time about " a company which is about to go bust."

This was during covid, with the borders shut, no local access for Heron in place and with the company burning cash and having no revenu stream.. And guess what - what this person wrote turned out to be total BS...

MB has probably studiously avoided the company taking on any debt knowing what has happened to the likes of COPL.

I hope SM wasn't one of the herd of retail buyers in ORCP who thought they were all going to make their fortunes when the market opened on Wednesday. One guy on Tuesday night said it was a " once in a lifetime opportunity" and was going to put 80k in on the Weds open. It spiked briefly and now is about a third of the share price at the top of the spike. The MMs know that the retail herds in a FOMO frenzy are easy pickings.

Actually, Thornogson did point out that Rockhopper and UKOG were both at one time considered to be " dog stocks."

I could name 3 or 4 more recent aim multi baggers which were considered to be just the same until just recently.

The negs just obsess about the current share price because they have no understanding of the concept of " recovery plays " RR was a classic recovery play. The negs on here would have been mocking RR shareholders back in 2020, or Rockhopper shareholders a couple of years ago.

A lot of people on here never seem to have looked at the price action of a range of different shares. What Thornogson never mentioned is that the likes of Rockhopper also had a huge decline in their share price prior to suddenly multi bagging from the lows. I can think of 5 or 6 companies who have recently multi bagged recently - and they all did this from a precipitous decline in their share price, which for some of them went on for years.

I think the likes of the neg's have no idea that the best profits on aim often come from recovery plays. If the fundamentals suddenly change so as to create the potential for a big increase in revenue, then the effect on the share price can be dramatic.

Even a large cap such as RR can be an amazing recovery play - look at where it is now compared to being a 30p penny stock at one time during the pandemic. The reason that it has shot up so much is because its revenue has done the same.

Barmy ; the exchange doesn't release data to show buys and sells on a given day. What you see are just guesswork according to where the order was filled relative to the bid and ask price at the time.

Take much of the daily buy/sell data with a handful of salt.

Master ; do you realise that the company went into a farm out a number of years ago before MB took over, for block 20? It was the BG Group, but they were then taken over by Shell, and Shell decided to pull out of Mongolia.

Up until last May we had no legal access to the land, and no 25 year licence until early this year. So how can you talk about a JV or farm out will never happen given that it's only very recently that all the pieces have fallen into place to allow this to happen ?

I almost think you don't want it to happen, as it will make MB look so good, and you will have to eat your words.

The price action re ORCP in the last couple of days shows the danger of getting heavily spiked with microcaps. People were frothing with excitement before yesterday's open, and one guy said he would be buying 80ks worth on the open. Well the MMs knew that the retail herd would be piling in on the open, so it spiked and then fell off a cliff soon after, and is now worth less than half the peak of the spike. Meanwhile the MMs are laughing all the way to the bank.

Read through 2reincarnated's posts on a load of other boards - every company he comments on he says the same thing " there will be another raise and it will go a lot lower. "

Proquo ; TBT finally admitted at one point that those who had suggested filtering the sociopathic negs were right all along.

Him and several others have clearly not done this though - I thought it would require too much self discipline from them. They just can't stop themselves from being triggered.

And I agree that the company most likely need help with the technical side of things from a big player. A farm out will provide this input.

Zeus did mention in one report a while ago a risk being " the complex geology of Heron. "

And hopefully Block 7 will turn out to be less complex.

Excellent post Proquo - sums it all up well.

I have generally always defended the company and MB, however I can't for the life of me understand the 821 bopd figure, and how they arrived at it. 150 bopd compares well with the better performing block 19 wells, however the touted 821 figure seems like it was fantasy stuff.

TenBag ; I do realise that. Posting negatively on here wont help suppress the share price though - that 's just a myth.

Glad to hear that you have been invested for so long though. I take it you didn't take advantage of the pre-production spikes then ? Even MB stated in the presentation that " we don't seem to get the share price spikes anymore. "

TenBag ; if you had been on here long enough, you would know that Master was all about excitement and anticipation of what was to come at one point. He hasn't always been in a negative frame of mind. It's the share price performance which has made him this way.

Once the share price ( hopefully ) hits around 4p again, then it would be fair to ask Master why he doesn't sell up he is still posting negative comments about MB then. Not now though.

TenBag ; Master has been on here for years, and was extremely excited when permissions started being granted. He did a lot of research leading up to this.

He has only become really negative since the share price collapsed from the levels we used to see pre-production. I have no doubt that he does hold a large no of shares and that his average is 4p. The share price action since 31/05/24 has frankly been a shock and traumatic for those who decided to buy and hold starting from a few years ago. Those who have come out unscathed so far were the ones who sold on the spikes and then accumulated after the raises.
