Tree shakes are just part and parcel of sensible risk management tactics for MMs - it's just part of the game.

I remember that time in 2023 when on an RNS which was basically just a load of hot air, they dropped it from the previous close of about 3p to 1.8p on the open. Then it spiked up to about 6.5p on the same day. They hoovered up those cheap shares at 1.8p and then sold them into a quick FOMO rally all in the same day.

Wigster : like I said, the MMs want to hold as little inventory as possible with high risk microcaps - so on "news" they will stick up via a tree shake to hit the stops and prise shares off sticky hands. That way they lessen their risk.

What they like ideally is very little volatility so that they can flip shares in their inventories between the bid and the ask - this is mi risk and max gain for them.

If there is say sudden huge demand and a lack of sellers, then they risk having nothing left in their inventories and have to mark the share price higher so as to bring in sellers. Otherwise you end up with an order book full of large sells and no way to fill them. And vice versa.

Wigster - the MMs will only take on a very limited amount of aim microcaps shares for their own inventories. It's too risky for them to have very much - that's why they run the stops on news so as to make sure they pick any up as cheaply as possible.

Otherwise they are simply matching buys and sells in the order book.

As abzzba has pointed out, H2 is likely to keep improving as temperatures gradually increase in the well so as to lessen the impact of wax slowing the flow. It is waxy oil.

A degree doesn't mean much these days if graduates believe that you can sell something without having a buyer...

And as has been pointed out, the MMs normally run the stops on news - a great way to hoover up cheap shares.

Just a reminder that whatever the monetary value of the sells so far may be - it's equal to the monetary value of the buys. To sell anything there has to be a buyer willing to pay what you have sold.

The MMs usually drop the share price a bit on news these days - to go etc spiked to go e bid to 0.65p at the start of the investor presentation. Presumably it's to entice buyers.

Standard tactics in other words with any company which has genuine prospects...I wont give the name of the other company, but they also have things happening which may well be transformational.

Abzzba - and as you say, no sign of water tanks at H2.

From what I have read via AI, with waxy oil once it starts flowing, then it just increasingly picks up as the temperature gradually increases. They must have done the H2 tests at the start of winter last year, so the low temperature wouldn't have helped as regards the wax.

By the way - if a LOI gets signed, will it be revealed at that point who the other party is ?

What is it likely to mean if the rig is still at H2 abzzba ?

Also, MATD is in a JV with SunSteppe, but does that automatically mean a 50-50 split with the various projects ? I'm not sure whether this has been clarified. It sounds as though MATD has been injecting most of the required funds into the RTB projects recently, including some funds from the last raise.

It might be worth emailing the company so as to clarify definitively what the split is with SunSteppe for the 4 RTBs in the pipeline.
