Hamm : re a farm out. I think the other thing about bringing in a large partner is that it bolsters the credibility of MATD as a serious player, rather than just a junior resource company which has been in existence since 2007 and only started to finally extract oil last year.

We can't get away from the fact that many still have a cynical attitude to the company, due to past tribulations, plus the fact that Mongolia is considered to be a risky proposition. That extra credibility would no doubt do wonders for the share price - it would just make investors feel safer.

Just to be clear, our JV is with a subsidiary of the parent SunSteppe entity. Is it that correct ?

It has to be a farm out unless revenue suddenly comes in from one of the renewables. Even then, I don't think they should try to go it alone.

So for me, plan B would be to sell block XX.

MATD are listed on the LSE and can therefore do capital raises. That's their big contribution one would think.

As though getting listed and then doing a capital raises is so easy.

Anyway, if SunSteppe do most of the work on projects, as they are specialists in this field, what do you suggest MATD should be doing in a JV, and with a deal for 50% of the revenue ?

Hamm - your best bet if there is a big spike on a farm out deal is to sell up near the peak, get your money back, and then put that money into something that you actually understand.

The trouble is that those LTHs who have just held for several years are losing their minds a bit, as anybody buying at say 3p to 4p a few years ago could have top sliced or sold out for a profit in 2020, 2021, 2022,2023 and 2024. Since early June 2024 though the LTHs have been locked in for nearly a year and a half unless they want to crystalise a big loss.

Buying shares early on in a junior resource explorer with no revenue is a massive risk.

Plan B may be to receive revenue of 5 to 10m for half of the 200 MW RTB project. Which may be why some of the funds from the last raise went towards completing this project to the RTB stage.

Hamm : when you were bouncing around telling everybody it would be 15p on the local access consent and 40p when production started, how exactly did you think they were going to obtain the funds to drill and finish several wells ? It's 4m to drill and complete.

Hamm never seems to take into account the renewables side of the business - it just hasn't registered in his mind.
