The comment I quoted from you just shows up how absurd Hamm's comment at the time, given that you have identified significant risks right now, when the fundamentals are far better than back then. At the time, the District committee had not even voted to grant the land access.

But Hamm told us all before the District committee had even met to vote on the local land access ( after having been denied it for many years ) that there is no risk.....

Pilsbury7 ; through observing price action, and patterns that keep repeating. For example, periods of range bound sideways action, such as we are seeing now, followed by sudden price spikes when ' news ' hits.....Take a look at a MATD daily chart going back say 10 years....

I think what I have learnt with this share over several years is something that I heard about many years ago when I first delved into how share price action really works ; always place your money in phase with the smart professional money, and not with retail investor money, which is usually entirely influenced by news driven sentiment.

Thornogson ; I still feel that if there is sudden great news, then yet again we will see a large spike, followed by a huge pullback. I just don't believe that the price action will smoothly trend upwards - it's just far too volatile a share to do that, and the trading desks will know that selling on spikes has always worked every time in the past for them.

Thornogson ; you can tell from the comments on here that many are LT bag holders, locked in until they can hopefully at least get their money back.

IMO the constant selling we are seeing at the top of this long protracted trading range of 2.5p to 3p is professional shorting using instruments such as CFDs. With professional shorting you don't need to own any shares in order to sell and then buy back. Or they can simply keep buying at the bottom of the range and then offload at the top, whilst holding on to some in order to offload at better prices if a positive RNS comes through.

The next RNS outcome will be the same, even if it is uber positive. The professional money will offload what they have recently been accumulating, amidst a perfect background for them of retail investors jumping around full of FOMO, talking about multi baggers ( step forward Hamm ) etc. And that will then create another load of bag holding LTHs, scratching their heads after the price pulls back massively, with people typically posting on here comments like " I can't understand what keeps happening to the share price - this is crazy....' or maybe ' they didn't word the RNS as positively as they could have done ' etc etc.

When will the penny drop for some on here that a lot of professional shorting is going on ? These types of low volume /high volatility AIM shares are exactly the ones that the trading desks target. Probably some of the posters on here are trading desk pros.

Mullins ; LTHs have generally been shafted over the last few years. It's obvious that RNS releases have been used by the professional money to offload their shares accumulated when the share price was held lower. That's created a situation with a lot of bag holding LTHs locked in and sweating every day and night for months or years.

If I wasn't heavily invested in MATD then I would be hoping that the Mongolian authorities will arrest Putin ( the botox dwarf )

Stas ; professional traders minimise their risk through only being in the market for short time frames. Some Nasdaq scalpers that I know of for example average only 5 mins for a typical trade.

Looking at MATD's price action in real time with a one hour chart, it's very tradeable. And with shorting, the price often falls quicker than when it goes up. Professional shorters can make a mint if they know what they are doing.

A ' shorting fund ' would include MM trading desks of course. They trade their own accounts with eager young employee traders desperate to get their fat bonuses....

Jimi ; reading further down in the article, I think it's about celebrating the anniversary of some battle against the Japanese which Russian and Mongolian forces combined together to win.

I'm still convinced that this is down to the trading desks keeping it within a range. That way they can trade the range either way, and also accumulate at the lower end of the band in case we get a really positive RNS at anytime. Then watch for them distributing heavily on any resultant spike.

I was just looking at a real time hourly chart of MATD in City Index, who I am using to scalp trade the FTSE 100.

It would actually be pretty straightforward to just trade MATD very short term, going both long and short. Indicators such as the MACD and the RNS seem to work just fine looking at an hourly chart. So it's hardly surprising if you have lots of eager young things sitting at their trading desks doing exactly that.

And if you are in and out before the market closes then you can sleep easy without having to obsess about any fundamentals, or even particularly giving a damn about what is going on in Mongolia.

Doc ; "Investor, I'd imagine that a large investor/II doesn't want to risk hanging around in MATD for fear of more delays/uncertainties. Get out with their 40% and move on or partake in a raise on another stock and do the same! I guess following what you've been saying these recent months... trade it. "

Without all the blocks of sells that you have been monitoring recently, one would think that the share price could easily have reached 3p and perhaps go all the way to the last recent resistance of 3.5p. 3.5p is around 32% more profitable than the share price is currently. So if you figure out roughly how may shares have been sold in these blocks of 500k or whatever recently - that's a hell of a lot of money....

I'm not sure that one professional trader would decide not to hold on for a week or two later without the brakes on in order to make a huge amount of extra profit given the kind of position that we must be talking about. If they bought at 2p then they still have plenty of safety margin left to hold on with - and 2p is a very entrenched support level anyway. Anyway, why for that matter didn't they sell most of it when it hit 3.5p recently on the 22nd August - which was the last spike ? They've currently lost a huge amount through not distributing back then - or at least some of it.
