Richar ; because people have been asking for months why the share price isn't higher and climbing. If you look at the buying volume levels at MET1 over several months, and look at where they are now, then you have your answer.

Buying volume is like the use of a throttle on an aircraft. Do you think an aircraft would go into a steep climb if the throttle wasn't pushed forward so that there wasn't the thrust to make it climb ? Without throttling hard forward the aircraft would stall. Same with a share without decent buying volume. We need a catalyst followed by proper interest/volume.

£2.2m MET1 buying volume so far today. £30k MATD buying volume so far.

MET1's buying volume so far today has been around £2m. MATD's so far today has been £13k. An their mcap isn't much different to ours.

That's the difference that volume makes in terms of real upwards price action.

Hopefully we will get a catalyst soon such as a buyout or JV to ignite sudden real interest, which will then reflect in the buying volume.

Notpleb ; Hamm was responding to a post I made early this morning in which I made the spark and the fuel analogy in terms of news catalysts and volume. Volume is the fuel - your spark plugs can spark as much as they like, but without the fuel in the tank nothing much can happen.

There is a reason why many successful day traders typically use relative volume as one of their key selection criteria when choosing which stocks to trade.

Aquisace ; has it dawned on you yet that it is nonsense to compare float sizes when one has had a 10-1 reverse split and the other hasn't ?

So turn the tables and assume hypothetically that MATD had had a 10-1 reverse split, and Met1 hadn't. Matd's current float would then currently be 140m shares and Met1's would be 440m shares.

You were saying that I am thick because in your opinion the reverse split doesn't matter, and then you went on to claim that there has been a 750% or so uplift for Met1 investors so far this year compared to just 19% for MATD's investors, and that MATD is uninvestable compared to Met1 because of the difference in the sizes of their respective floats.

And for the record, someone buying Met1 at the bottom at 2p earlier in the year prior to the reverse split, would be about 150% up right now - not 750%. You don't seem to understand that with a 10-1 reverse split your share holding reduces to one tenth of what it was before.

The fact is that both companies are extremely promising - but your argument against MATD's prospects is a completely false one.

Mullins ; interesting article about AIM - thanks. It's good to see that someone else keeps an eye on the actual index. It fell sharply from about May or June last year, but has risen strongly since the start of this year. Maybe some have pulled money out of US shares given the unpredictability of Trump, and are looking at LSE listed micro caps again ?

We just need some of that volume which we are currently seeing being funneled into the likes of Met1 to be put into Matd, because the share price is still flat.

IMO people become quite myopic - obsessing solely about the company they are interested in, and not considering how money may be pouring into different sectors at different times. I think I'm the only one to have pointed out how O&G companies on Aim were heavily sold off from spring last year - so the weakness in the Matd share price since early June last year is a wider sector one, and not just limited to one company. Of course, the bashers on here have no idea of the wider context.

Sectors falling in and out of favour and catching the right ones is like a surfer catching the right waves at the right moment. Last year the extreme weakness in the Met1 share price - falling from 22p at the start of 2024 to 2p in January - was a classic case of interest in a sector falling in and out of favour. Now it's 40p as interest suddenly flows into the sector of mining rare earth metals for the likes of EVs.

And if the likes of Adw had spent time researching other companies back in January, instead of posting about a hundred times on here stating why he wouldn't buy MATD shares, then he might have found Met1, bought in and enjoyed about a 1,900% return buy now.

That's why the trolls make no sense if they are actual investors.

Thorno ; it's the volume which will rerate the share price. And interest in different sectors ebbs and flows at different times. IMO Proquo is correct when he says that renewables are the future of this company - and that they should simply sell each field once they have all the correct permissions in place, such as the recent 25 year Special Purpose status for Heron.

People are excited about Met1 right now because they are mining for the rare earth metals which governments will require for EVS etc. If you had bought Met1 at the start of 2024 you would have paid about 22p for them. By Jan 2025 the shares would have been worth about 2p....And now they have multibagged from 2p in January to 40p today. Throughout 2024 the average volume for Met1 was only about 100k a day - now the volume is typically 8m to 10m a day. Compare that with our buying volume today, which is about 6k. That's what a surge of sudden interest can do in the right sector, and right now anything to do with renewables catches people's interest because they know that governments are so much into it, and will invest heavily in it.

Thornogson ; I think that people massively overrate the impact that a board like this actually has.

Take Met1 which is the happening stock on Aim right now, and with buying volume of around £2m today so far. Yet if you look at their board, there are relatively very few comments posted there - certainly nothing like the number that you have every day on here.

It's volume which moves a stock, not comments on a chat board - and that's what's missing here at the moment. Volume means interest and hence activity through shares changing hands - Met1 has around £2m of buying volume today, whereas we have around £6k I think it was when I last looked.

Like I wrote before - there are no analysts at the MMs constantly rating shares - it's volume of demand which moves a share price. For a large re-rate you need a massive increase in buying volume such as Met1 seems to be attracting right now. It's share price was 2.5p back in January....Hopefully this company will start attracting more interest soon.

Absolutely correct. If everybody filtered them then we would be rid of them, yet some people just can't seem to bring themselves to do this. We know that the likes of Adw are talking nonsense, so why do people still keep reading what they post, and worse still keep replying to them ? WOS is one of the worst offenders in this regard - I wish he would stop it. It makes no absolutely no sense - please just have the self discipline to filter them, and more than anything stop being triggered into replying to them !

The reality is that it wont help the share price one jot through correcting their lies on here - believe you me, it will make absolutely no difference, just in case some have the idea that it does matter, and that they are somehow defending the company and the share price. Anyway, the genuine holders disseminate the correct facts automatically on here through simply discussing the facts amongst themselves. That's all people need to do.

Aquisace ; Look at things in context. Check out a load of AIM oil and gas shares since about June last year, and you will find that nearly all of them sold off heavily throughout the rest of the year. As did the index itself.

This happens in the stock market - sectors come in and out of favour. Look at gold stocks right now - suddenly as gold falls, these have been sold off heavily. Yet up to recently they were going great guns.

Context is important. The reality is that every year there has been a 100 to 350% difference between the low and high of the year with Matd - much more during that huge spike in early 2017. So it's basically been a trader's stock up to now. Even last year it was just over 5p in early June.

I bought a load at 30p by the way.

Aquisace ; did you consider MET1 to be a dog when it crashed from 45p in Sept 2023 to just 2.5p in January this year ?

And the extreme volatility showed up again in mid April, when it suddenly tanked from 26p to 10p in the space of a week. So don't count your chickens too soon, though I do hold some MET1 shares which have done quite well since I purchased them.

And anyway, if Met1 can go from what one article described as ' an unloved stock ' to the stratospheric performance so far this year, then it just goes to prove what can happen if sentiment changes, and how quickly an AIM microcap can rocket in a very short time period. People are hoping that Matd can do something similar in due course.

" Showmethemoney " is into GCM - he said that he has been in and out of it for the last 20 years.

Well, GCM was just under 20p five years ago, and is now just over 2p.

Like that " Coops " person who suddenly turned up the other day full of scathing comments about PM on here, this is another one who seems to be invested in a total car crash of a company...Really, you couldn't make it up.

In fact the low that it settled at over winter is pretty much around the levels that it has settled down to and bounced off several times over that period. In late 2022 for example the low was around the 1.4p level, but by early 2023 it hit around 5.7p.

What you said is actually total BS, because lower lows indicates a downttrending price action, whereas just a glance at a 10 year chart shows clearly that the price action has bounced time and time again from around the price level of that low that we had over winter. And in no way over the 10 years is it a downtrending chart - it's actually a long term sideways action, bouncing between support and resistance levels, with the resistance levels varying somewhere between 5p to 10p. Even in the covid year with the borders shut and nothing happening the price bounced strongly from 2.5p to 4.8p.

Strange that you are a trader but can't read charts seemingly....I would have thought that traders would be obsessive about analysing charts.
