Silly question here but what’s the point of the AGM if a deal to go private could be dropped at any time…? Unless of course by any time we're talking after the AGM.

Soon as this hits 50p, everyone will be buying, may even get a few director buys, MM buying in too.

US is going through a debt crisis and after that Fitch rating, I can see everything being dragged down alongside it.

Perhaps we need to reach the bottom in order for the big players to make their big moves.

The golden share is expiring and it’s more than just the 35% that are angry with him. Good to see so many people are Team MM, I am too, but am losing hope until we see some real change. Thought that was Apollo but obviously not, what is strange was the #NoThanks LinkedIn post. That was rude and I’m sure people on the inside thought so too.

@Canary - The difference is that, when people chose to invest here, they may thought very different and the SP was likely to be much higher.

It’s completely fine to have doubts over the CEO once you see the falling SP, a number of rants on LinkedIn, quite frankly non-CEO behaviour and of course the whole Apollo debacle.

It’s perfectly plausible for them to continue holding shares but questioning the position of the CEO. Rather that than taking off on a loss, all considering that we are all pretty much in agreement that this is a fantastic company with a lot of potential.

Lots of focus on nutrition but let’s not underestimate the powerhouse and growth of beauty. It will be so much more as each year passes by and LookFantastic is brilliant for both men and women. Tons of offers there and they have a loyalty programme too with points.

It’s no surprise why Apollo began hunting and will undoubtedly be back.

Heard on the grapevine the Apollo advisors (having now flushed out all the large holders names) are directly speaking with them to secure their support post GS. At least two heavyweIght holders are rumoured to be annoyed with MM and want the Apollo proposal revisited immediately

Pearls we don’t know the offer but it was clearly above £2.

They valued Ingenuity alone at 65-70p. Nutrition and Beauty alone are worth a lot more. I’m pretty sure there was quite a bit of a negotiation but the final offer was 2.50 as a minimum which has made this whole ordeal feel like a kick in the teeth. Actually that’s underselling it, a sledgehammer against the mouth, following by a kick to the sledgehammer sounds more accurate.

Regardless of what happens here, that is unforgivable and I’m backing every single critique heading MM’s way. To top it off, the LinkedIn post about Apollo was just pathetic. Why would he go out of his way to insult them with the #NoThanks message.

The city disliking him isn’t much of a surprise anymore, I sure hope Apollo come for this aggressively after September and send MM packing.

He’s better off saving that money spent on this charade and having an open discussion on LinkedIn. He can save that money and purchase some shares on the cheap, not that it was coming out of his pocket but I just think the AGM feels meaningless.

What’s the point of the AGM in all honesty?

I like these posts. They are rants and not for everyone but it shows that he is frustrated. Let’s just hope he uses that frustration to take this stock private.
