... and a screams of joy
''TAX unfortunately is unavoidable - but its less painful when the money is made this EASY :)'
I guess, but its still painful when you see a government (of any colour) throwing it around like confetti [our money] :)
Thanks for the clarity on that (bed and ISA) - I could have made a big mistake next April. I now now that Ill sell me other divi producing stock (which is in the red) - and move that in instead - no cap tax on them. cheers x
Stink Bed - your words are vacuous x
'No, it certainly does not.'
ooh bugger - type in a very disappointed and deflated tone.
Isnt there some catnip somewhere for you, bugg er off :)
So does that mean - next year on April 6th. I can sell 20K of RR (in my normal account) - and then move the dosh inside the ISA and buy them back without paying Cap tax ?
'You can’t avoid the tax issue. It’s a way of funding an ISA if you have t got the physical cash to do so. Once in the ISA then it’s tax efficient but doesn’t have any tax advantage at the point of transferring.'
YIKES !
CWWX - that sounds right. and I think the way to think about it is -
if you had 20K in an exsisting ISA - then opened a new ISA next year at a different provider- then they have to move the funds accross from your old ISA- YOU CAN NOT WITHDRAWL IT YOURSELF and move it accross with the next years 20K
shares are the same - the provide moves them in for you
[I think] :)
Sell then buy into an ISA,.... (my little knowledge)
(I think I remmeber) My provider HSBC telling me that they can move them accross and avoid the tax issue (bed & ISA) - but If I was to do it manually I would incur Cap tax
(But I confess I may have miss understood)
Thank you , pappalazz and MarketDuster.
Much appreciated :)
Lets talk about you and me, lets talk about tax !
I only managed to get a portion of my lovely RR shares stuffed into my ISA, a good portion is still in a normal trading acconut. I'm I right in thinking that I've to pay CAP TAX on them if I sell up , are there any legal 'tricks' to reduce this tax take ?
RR should develop a micro-mini reactor which runs on charity bags and pizza leaflets, just an observation ! :)
Welldone First-timer :)
In fact this is the only place I swing my bits about it and enter smug mode, since my friends either dont understand shares, or (being a working class bloke) it would be crass to brag on to them every time this share goes up (with cost of living , fuel prices affecting people etc.)
'The willy swinging hath started'
LOL, Im gonna my little toddger too, i put 30k in last year - now got 100K - (thats the start of my pension fund for 10 years time)
Im so chuffed I cant stop beaming about it :)
.... its like having great sex, but never being able to climax !
I can't focus on my work, I can't stop dragging my self back to the computer, I’m walking aimlessly around the house with an inane grin on my face.
Part of me wishes the little RR tease would either stop, or just click up the whole days gain in one go.
A year ago,,,, that was the best time to buy :)
No one can answer your question, it's all just gambling,,, informed gambling , and don't let anyone tell you different. it might continue , it might pause, it might fall. Do your own research DYOR , and judge calculate the risks
:)
I think Jane might have a little InkyRed insider of her !
Hey Bed_Stinky
You've conveniently forgotten our little bet haven’t you ?, You said a share price can not double in a year, and then you said it would be 34p by April this year.
I said they can easily double in a year and £1.80 by April
Care to concede you are a losser ?
(said by in Feb/march 2022)
MEDI LOL, You've got him right
I agree . SMR and divis are needed now for growth - I think it will be lucky to get to £3.50 without either of them for some time. in the meantime other stocks with better paying divis are cheap.
Only if you got in at 68p
