I have kept my investment in RR (in the normal trading account) through out all this - It's my long term hold account - since it will incur CGT. I pulled my ISA block out last Friday - and had I sat and watched these events /swings carefully , tentatively everyday - I could have been in and out the market (RR) a few times with my ISA chunk and made a nice little profit- BUT the stress would have killed me. My ISA is the most 'powerful' invest that I have - being CGT free and having no limit on its withdrawal (unlike a pension or normal trading account) , and as such I like to preserve its contents - since it takes so long to stuff 20K a year into it.

Being still invested in RR in my normal account - I shall be waiting with my ISA money - til things settle. At times like these - going and doing some distraction gardening my be the best thing to do. Come later this year Trump will have some Opposition in the US (mid-terms) and that might stop him being so erratic .

The other day ; there was snipped criticism of people on here – criticising people who sold and bought at the right time – the suggestion being that they lied. Just to prove you can get things wrong , and my ego is big enough to cope with it - I could have bought back in this morning and maybe made a nice profit – but didn’t. We all can miss opportunities. (Nothing worse than a gambler who only ever screams about their winnings?)

Time our government started removing the standing charge from house hold bills , and reducing the Tax on fuel etc, It’s not like they’ll be spending the money on any thing worthwhile.
