After nearly 25 years of owning my car - it finally broke down today in the Supermarket car park - starter motor ,, (It could have been so much better and broken down in the pub car park LOL))

I was thinking 13 was a bad day ; til I just logged on and saw RR at over 13 , get in there my son, now I can order a new starter using rolls Royce money :) £128 - just pop on my rolls Royce glasses and it becomes £9.41 ,,,,,bloody love these magical rolls Royce glasses

being a simple yorkshire bloke, I think it would bloody scare me to see the amount of money you're move around , covering margin calls etc. :)

@LazyHare, hey no need to apologise, I’m kind of glad someone else remembered that idiot MrBlobby. It's bonkers - since RR has been an easy investment for the last three years-- and while someone might have missed the first year rise, you'd have hoped that if they were reading investment press material – they’d have spotted it and jumped onboard at some point - for the easiest ride of a life time – even if they only doubled their money over the last year. :)

@lazyhare, 'anyone remember that bloke on there admitting that he'd missed out badly when we hit £7?' , I remember it well, he was bleating on about how he couldn’t sleep at night, was an emotional wreak because he bottled it with RR below £1, asking us all what he should do. He got the sharp end of mine (and others) tongue There are people out there who don’t have a pot to p1ss in, can’t afford to heat their homes, others around the world struggle to feed them self or living a life under tyrannical rule and then that article ( whose screen name was Mr Blobby) carping on about a missed opportunity and his mental health, still boils my p1ss now. wish'd you not mentioned him lol :)

I expect/hope the 'big guns' on here are all sorted - using accountants etc, the little fish (like me) have to be extra careful and diligent - HMRC have just put into place the final part of their 'connect' system - which has access to all manor of data streams - including bank accounts, facebook, ebay etc . - according to you tube videos about it .

If their system detects an anomaly – say – a flashy life style , yet they pay little PAYE income - it will 'flash' which prompts a ‘nudge letter’ being sent to the individual. Sometimes these letters don’t actually tell you what has triggered the letter ; just a prompt that you may have outstanding tax issues . Example- A friend sold a house(second) a couple of years back - at the same price he paid for it - this caused such a letter - I guess HMRC thought there might be some CGT to pay - which there wasn’t.

Advice on line, if you receive such a letter, is to enquire with them - but not to 'fill them up' with too much information during that initail enquiry.
