I dont have a live price in front on of me - what is occuring - this site seems to be stuck ?

The yanks - will they drag us down again today ?

Someone here mentioned TUN some time back, it seems to be ripping again over the last few trading days, I think proven reserves have come back bigger than first thougt. (yeah I do have a tiny tiney bet on it - it's an aim stock so can bounce like mad, I tend to pop only a couple of squid on - wait till it doubles and then remove the initail stack money letting the rest ride).

Metals are on the up - thank god, Badders - hows it going fella (if youre there :) )

@retirment, I don’t post any of my details online - having worked in IT ; and considering what I know about the computer system the tax office has, what I make and don’t make is my (and their) business and not for the world to see. But unlike you ; I retired at 40 - and when i work - I work because I choose to work. I’m also quite happy with the size of my willy

So to summaries - you said - Microsoft plummeted after results day,, yet you are encouraging people here to invest in them.

Good luck trying to sell over priced software when Cheap / Free alternatives do the job, when Nation states are moving away from Microsoft spy ware (their OS) . When things are becoming 100% cloud based - thin client, when IA can write the software for you - so you can undercut Microsoft, when Microsoft is not leading the AI revolution. When BH invested recently in Google

I'd rather be in hardware- such as engines,generators, nuclear - any tom dick and harry can create software, as easy as you plucking numbers from thin air :D

Retirment, now think about where things are going for them, , you'll understand complex numbers - magnitude and direction.

Retirement, not disputing what you might think about RR , but don't pay too much attention/comparision to Microsoft ; they've got issues - AI spending $B while their operating system isnt doings as well as theyd hope :)

agreed. a good board is made up from a having a range of people with alternative views, perspectives and opinions who can all have a laugh, rib each other and also praise each other.

its been a ****ty couple of weeks for some more than others, one or two members have dropped below the radar, hope alls ok with them and when they are good and ready – pop up to say their ok- in their own way & time.

.... let me add,,, my quip regarding ' degree stupid’s - comes from a very deep place inside me - where I meet technical students who can't solve simple GCSE maths. I should have buried that emotion and not posted it lol :)

'It's not the fault of the students,' - spot on. I couldn’t agree more - and want to make the point that I don’t blame the young people for this mess. And seeing the state of America and student debt - I have some sympathy with them :)

I remember a discussion on here last autumn - about the dramatic change in university education system over the last 40 years and how degrees no longer guarantee the calibre of candidates.

My advice to anyone, whose children who are coming up to school leaving age - has always been get them to either- work, training with an employer or a HNC (then into work/training)
