You are absolutely correct Montmuzard, i have researched the same several times over and my sister being an historian and knowing literally everything there is to know about the subject has taught me a lot as well (she has PHD in history from Oxford before anyone questions her knowledge on the matter)

Still think we will get top dollar for the 15, a reduced amount for the 7 and then the rest is anyone’s guess

Either way, the best case for a sale price is it could go up to $6.5b if it’s 22moz but that’s a stretch IMO.

Still think the range is 67p-135p SP which is a T/O range of $2.5b-$5b ... anything below too cheap and anything above is fantasy land

£35 lol I filtered hoochy a long time ago, just as bad as the deramping crew. He’s having a laugh anyway, no one actually believes him.

The range is around 67p-£1.35 at most - how folk are getting to the really high figures is wishful thinking (that’s an understatement - won’t say what I really think)

All this talk of 40moz - emm half of that ain’t in the licensed target area so why would we get top dollar for that? It’s all about the 15moz IMO and the potential to take it up to 40moz being used a bargaining/negotiation carrot to get more ££ for the 15moz.

So max value of deal for me is around $5b IMO

this is a long term hold - simple as that.
If your not interested in holding long term you are probably better off taking your money elsewhere. This will take time to brew and requires patient. Its not a trading or short/medium term hold for me.

Really don't care about SP movements in short/medium term. Im hedging my bets on one or more of the projects to take off - at which point this will multi bag. Risk is it might not - thats why i only have 1m shares at 2p

But i like how the company is run so overall im confident they will get there over the next few years

agree 'weirdpal' - if you dont need the funds i'd strongly recommend leaving and looking away for a few months.
I done some TA on this and appreciate folk are worried about the gap and potential for a drop, so if you are invested i'd look at this in terms of a medium term investment (3-9 months) - with that timeframe and taking everything else into considerations you can say goodbye to getting anything under £3.

this is a hold for me as well, regardless of short term SP movements my take is we've turned a corner and plan on holding until at least June - by which time i'd be shocked if this was not well on its way to £4 a share

Oil price is looking great and predicted to climb and the uncertainty around COVID is clearing. Planes will be flying soon and the demand for oil will follow. Alongside this, the ambition for net zero will open up new opportunities

Im very optimistic with BP. Of all the supermajors im actually most impressed by these guys.

I think Looney doesn't get enough credit, a fair few on here have bashed him but i disagree with most of those comments.
He cares about his people, the company and most importantly our planet. He's got the courage to lead from the front with going green, the other supermajors are following in my view.

With covid going away, oil price going up and overall demand for oil increasing, i can only see this SP going up over the net few months. The dividend should return to normal levels through the year (probably phased) and fully expect us to get back to around that £4 mark.

As things stand, whether u like it or not (blame it on lack of understanding by market) - this SP strongly reacts to the price of bitcoin. Lets put whether it should or shouldn't to one side for now.

So if bitcoin crashes the SP will also go down. Simple as that IMO.

Its not a buy just now, its a hold. Bitcoin will go through a bear cycle and probably land at $30-40k at some point IMO - either thats happening now or it will happen a little later. Fear not though, it will go back to a bull cycle and venture up to 100k at some point - just dont know when, maybe towards the end of the year - who actually knows.

Getting in now would be stupid as BTC is going down just now, so a very real risk the price will go down further. Way to volatile to get in now.

Grow some patience, this is not a simple transaction and moving from non binding offers to binding offers isn't the same as buying a car.

Geez, some folk here really make no sense whatsoever.

At least look up Whats involved when you move to binding offers, the typical timeframes and consider the size and complexity of this deal. If you think that it takes 2-4 weeks then good luck to you with your investing career lol

They wont just release an RNS for the sake of it, it needs to be worthwhile information around the offer thats been proposed to shareholders. Not just an RNS to say 'discussion are ongoing regarding moving to binding offers' - what would be the point in that?

Still a hold or buy for me. Price manipulation will happen the longer we have no news, but from my perspective makes no difference here. Im here for the sale which will be higher than current SP. The resources have not disappeared.

We have several no binding offers and we are moving them to binding offers - its pretty simple.

Key really is not to put your eggs in one basket, you should never have your entire portfolio in one stock - that might be why some are struggling/complaining. I know its painful to wait but you need to be patient - simple as that.
