So your flaws are not liking nasal swabs and that you don't know if it's going to connect to some unspecified 'central' register (presumably multiple dependant on region/country/site used in?). lfd's and lab-based PcR don't automatically update any register. Just don't seem like the 'major' flaws you initially posted about to me.

What design issues Gloria? Simple steps, it looks exactly as hoped. Point of Care Covid testing on the genedrive instrument to add to the rest of the PoC range. What else were you expecting?

Amazing, been away and just catching up, but afaiks successfully got the swab version working, very fast accurate and foolproof, targeting CE mark, and people are on her *****ing?! This is fantastic. Just fantastic achievement and long term market. Going through validation, that biosafety buffer is one of the tech issues that try talked about before, superb. (I mean, obviously a4uk is, and guy lol)

Don't hold with this word 'deadline'. It's not, it's an estimate, I interpret quiet as they're busy getting it right. We do know two streams were being worked on for PoC (saliva & swab), we know it's a complex piece of development, and we know the products are good when they're released. From that I at least have faith that when it does come it'll be up to spec and worth the wait. I have no worries about their technical ability so just taking the view that it could be any day now but they won't let it go 'till it's right.

I'd expect we should get a trading update shortly (10 July I think last year?).

Don't know about that Oneknows, it has been hard to buy at points recently (yesterday afternoon for ex, haven't tried today)

I think worth noting in this respect that there is Cytiva tech in there afaik, and Cytiva are from what I have read geared up to scale manufacturing as high as needs be. My suspicion therefore is that the tie in with Danaher group companies means we probably wouldn't see manufacturing outsourced elsewhere?

They did say the margins are currently high so there may be room

Quick search for SA suggests customers currently being charged about R850 (circa GBP43) i.e. a lot less than US or UK where it can be about USD130 or GBP120 last I looked. I'm not expecting anything from SA still, but the specific advantages of the GDR test (I e. ambient storage) might get it a look in at some time I suppose
