It does leave Tullow looking for good news from somewhere, although gas injection is good news. The crazy thing for me is targeting this basin with potential for net 300m barrels to Tullow versus Kuamakka say which has potential net 3bn barrels of Cretaceous. Simply mad.
Incidentally, Tullow IR has confirmed partners can proceed individually or in tandem with drilling on the licence - they do not need Tullow to participate.
I haven't asked what it means in terms of deferred cost sharing or other arrangements which may be in place but Total/QP/Eco are free to go it alone if they wish.
