I wouldnt expect anything imminently on Hammerhead (cue Exxon announcement))!! As they may be processibg seismic and establishing if a further drill is needed or if Aurituk forms part can be a super field as part of utilisation (so needs drilled and then appraised if oul present). Lots of variables.

I'm not an.ops guy am afraid, I'm a deal jockey on risk in the city.
My feeling is the production casing is done at the time and means a wider drill to put down a stronger pipe casing which can cope with production. It is done as the drill goes as to retro fit wouldnt give the strength to the pipeline I don't think. My understanding is it forms the casing around the drill bore.

I'd have thought Hess and Exxon have been laying production casing in most of their wells given the prolific discovery pattern. You do it because you're expecting a productive well not for fun or ****ing away funds so it must be a very strong sign.
Hence, I'd say the 20 days mark still seems about right but as a first drill I dare say they want to do some imaging, chromatography and other sampling/testing to see what they have.
The Tullow.update seems perfectly timed but may take a bit longer. End of month is 27 days and with another zone to hit between then and first week of August news should def be forthcoming.
Be great to see it next week though.

Despite Bach Ho think it has always been speculative or would be more prevalent.
If they can try to win the info battle instead of shooting themselves in the foot that would help.
The fact Kerogen would need to inform the board yet there isn't really any effort to offset with positive comms (that I've seen) is naive but goes to my concerns around BoD comms strategy.

Interesting update from Artemis around their NAV including their holding in HUR and ECO on the ECO board.

FWIW- Kerogen sale is a bolt from the blue. At face value it is sensible positioning of their fund but further selling would be a concern. The tanker uplift should provide ongoing confirmation of flow rates and improved performance - maybe inv relations will have the good sense to RNS this properly to highlight any positives over base case expectations.

Not much between 250m and 1,000ft to be fair but on depths I may have misplaced Joe for Jethro in that case as have them as 4,300m and 3,500m in my head.
That would make Thursday very early but early next week still.possible.

I believe these vessels can do 1,000 ft per day or there abouts. The zone for Jethro is around 3,500m so probably around 11,500 feet to depth hence 11-12 days. The casing would go down with the drill I think and takes a bit longer but they are taking core samples on the way down which could maybe allow drilling somewhat. But even doing this evry 500feet is 22 cores so no more than extra day or two I'd guess.
While the weekend might be too soon I think Tullow would dearly like to announce ay their half year presentation as it will be heavily on analysts minds. Gil had am sure mentioned 20 days in previous interviews.
They took time getting everything set for the spud so should be in good shape.

I have stated clearly that there is a strong story related to the company and the assets. I'm just not going to gloss over basics done badly and the potential impact by deifying the board.

I'm not close to this but if a new advisor has recently been appointed to explore.options around an LE that can sometimes be costly and while much of the cost will be contingent on success theyd unlikely work for free with a company in Sounds position. JiMO

With an update on Wednesday and other drills of greater depth both water and rock wise taking less than 20 days it is entirely possible. Not sure how confident they may be of data though.

So in your world nobody would criticise or question the board and all would be rosy in the world? Try reading Ch.1 of Dear Chairman by Jeff Gramm to see what that world looks like.
There comes a natural time when RT should be stepping aside and it is getting close. He likes his train set and is probably reluctant to give up his position.
Let me put it a different way, would I have any confidence in him taking on the Majors in a bidding situation. Given his desire to maintain control do I think bids will be disclosed if not to the boards liking. Will a Major and their investment bank advisors run rings around AS. Yes we have Morgan Stanley but they rely on what AS and team give them.
It is not heresy to question how much further he can realistically take it. We are a long way from his garden shed now and he has done well to get it to here despite the mistakes along the way.

To be fair, in order to hit 140p it had to hit £1.00. I'm not sure valuation metrics go out of the window so much anymore on PI bidding frenzy. Think it is more rational around when majors/PE decide to get involved and how MM's view the potential for this.

Any money I release from here wont be going where you think. I've enough in there to do very comfortably if it performs and no desire to overbalance.
I agree there is a compelling message with HUR, I'm not calling that into question I just don't think the current BoD are the ones to.lead the next phase without some strengthening either at CEO or CFO. If RT got a stronger CFO in, great. If not then he and AS need replaced.
As an aside I don't rate the Chair either.

I will back them with my actions though.

While Gil regularly mentions $8 I'm not sure that will be the immediate upshot of an initial drill. However, it would also re-rate the contingent so use $5 for drilled and $1 for undrilled and you get probably $200m from 1st zone drilled and a further $500m for other barrels. That 500m is perhaps toppy but if there is success.on first drill I can see 200p being breached. Success in all 3 zones and we are at 60-70m barrels plus and a higher likelihood for the remaining 530m.
SP then is anyone's guess - market has been a funny valuation metric for O&G last 5 years.

My point was about putting people off and limiting horizons for sake of scoring cheap shots. When you suck at presenting don't go out of your way to make it worse.
