If you are talking about the physical spaces ? Then likely they would be returned to the landlords, and they would then have a charge of any sale of the group or brand but that would between PG and creditors etc

Boo would be buying the parts of the business that they wanted in effect Hand picking from the administrators. I would suggest this would not include any physical space, and they would move the label i.e topshop to a purely online model

I’d take a £3 close ... Been a disappointing week after a strong week previously. Mon and Tue cost a 6% drop which we have limped back from this week.

I agree kc... although no action on American markets today as closed for thanksgiving, additionally the ex rate is doing us no favours uk shares are expensive currently at €1.33 to the pound

@spicey.. no I’m trying to work out the level of potential %loss.. which would then impact on ones own Individual holding. Something I would suggest most people consider when this sp went from £3.90 down to £3.00 back in September, for all those with blind faith that saw 25% of their holding disappear.

So yes up or down indeed but to what level that was the question being posed

@melking - had we not lost just under 6% in the last 48hours we would of been @ £3.10 if we had a 1.25% rise on Monday instead of the 3.5% drop.

This will go 2 ways this week, either a slow recovery kicking off tomorrow or a continued decline of between 1.5-3% per day leaving us at £2.70 by the end of week if the decline continues at the current rate

I have no idea which way it will go. Just take some solace from the charts showing the longer monthly patterns.

Gutting really as if and if it’s a BIG if we get a trading update Next week that will only push back to where we were 2 weeks ago with no further news expected for a further 6 weeks which is a long time with this share

It appears that little niggle has taken a swipe at the SP today at 3% down - let’s hope the impact is done now, long week ahead let’s see if we can go back into blue..

It’s normally based around a maximum 5% amount of any one share, I think Jupiter is 10% so they load up when the price is too good to Miss abs then rebalance as it increases

The telegraph bashing boo as usual.. not much of a story or certainly no new news?
1. We know a new auditor is required, they will announce when one is
2. Worse case scenario they lose, they will appeal it will be dragged through the courts for another 2 years
3. They have 600mil in the bank, in 2 years time it will be prob be close to 1billion, therefore the damages won’t impact significantly

Some interesting points on here reference the factory.. I’ll add my conspiracy theory to the mix based on nothing more than supposition.

It could well be that Boo are intentionally doing nothing with the site, they could well be using it as political leverage within Leicester Local Authority and the relevant Mp’s

That could be a very smart move - worse case for Leicester they move production away, resulting in high numbers of unemployment and further deprivation.

Or they dangle the carrot of a state of the art factory to re empower and reinvigorate the Leicester business community acting as a beacon of investment and change.

However they may well take the opinion that thry won’t make that decision until they see some localised political support and backing for their company rather than the scapegoat for every act of malice or poor practice in the rag trade!

I could of course be way off.. but a bargaining chip between Leicester and Manchester 2 confirmed sites we know of. Andy Burnham ( mayor of Manchester) may be more receptive to them for all we know.

What we do know is that Boo have over 600 mill cash in the bank so a £3mil site that they sit on and potentially resell isn’t going to cause any loss of sleep for them

By virtue of the definition of a hazard - ‘anything that has the potential to cause harm’ just that.... I don’t have a specific list. But given the last six months of this share neither am I naeive enough to think or suspect that there is at least something lurking in the background for the gutter press to latch onto and create an untruth to push their agenda

Or more importantly the agenda of the companies behind large scale industrial Shorting... or for the directors wives and husbands as we so often see

thoughts on the week ahead ? My prediction was a close at 3.10/15 Which would lead us nicely into a potential trading update.

If that was positive and we were sat at £3.10 then then a 10% rise over 2 or 3 days would set us up for £3.50

However if this share has taught me one thing it is that it defies the rule of a barrier - sometimes it can struggle for example to overcome 2.80 or 2.90 then it flys past £3.00

At the last run up to results it flew past £3.50 without talking breath and everyone thought that £3.50 would be a red line barrier of resistance.

Not expecting an RNS this week but who knows what they have up Their sleeves! If we can hold £3.00 then it’s a win.. £3.10+ nice smile going into weekend!

Final question- does anyone know when the autumn budget was rescheduled for ? As from memory there was talk of an online sales tax in it.

@paul - it’s interesting as the traffic definitely won’t translate to sales for Chanel, Louis Vuitton or Dior. That is more browsing wish list style viewing I would think, so there is only 1 or 2 competitors on that list and interestingly none of them are high street brands with the exception I suppose Of footlocker although they have always had a strong online presence to be fair to them

@ buffalo - Great shout on selling early, can’t fault it. There is limited value in holding long term with this share if you look at the last three years. If you have traded in and out with a 3 month window then I can assure you there are people who have been incredibly successful from this share.

I think once the market Catches up and the volatility is removed and the SP stabilises then it could be a good long term hold but it has much to prove before that point in my humble opinion.

I’ve got a funny feeling this years results will catch everyone out - Logic and history will say sell the day before and I bet this time it goes up 10% on the day and then keeps rising lol !!!!!
