Russia was meant to grow 6% in 2022, and it fell 3%, thats a 9% contraction in real terms. add to that they are artificially propping up the ruble and have an extremely weak financial and tech sector even before the war, then those sanctions are hurting and the long strategically degrading nature of the sanction will hurt for years to come, not to mention the million plus working age people that fled the country, or the tens of thousands of working age men dead or disabled that will be removed from the economy.

80% of Russian oil and gas went to Europe, that markets gone. China and India buying Russian oil at 30% below market price........brilliant plan eh? and what great allies to have!
