Where are we now. Where do we want to be.7 Apr 2025 11:12
What is the best way of getting there. The good old Broad Concept. The mind turned towards SAV over the weekend as it bucked the current trends, keeping its head above the line.
I took to jotting down what I feel are the different areas being dealt with and where they are up to.
I am expecting further good drill results and resource upgrades - all in good time, soon enough.
Financing well in hand. Euler Hermes doing DD and now EC Strategic Project status - all good.
Partnership/ Offtakes, one down, further to come as and when ready
Recape/Decape/EIA/ FiD - let the process take its course
National elections mid-May looking like an AD/Chega post haggle coalition - plus ca change
Local elections Sep/Oct - will that soften local opposition? Or at least confirm more support.
Likewise the Baldios ruling bodies.
Meanwhile the ongoing Lawfare rumbles on in the background, mostly indirect undermining against Government bodies - confirmations would help cauterise these annoying open wounds.
The wall that faced SAV 4-5 years ago or even more recently would seem much more manageable (despite the enormous amount of work / management to implement the project, post FiD) and all threads would seem to be heading in the right direction, certainly in the areas that SAV have direct control.
Looking forward, still of a view that whilst the BLP should re-rate as these threads are woven together over the coming months, and establish SAV as a bona fide producer, it will be the future government auctions that could be explosive should SAV be successful. The Gov has said that the auctions would not be until the EIA has been awarded to BLP so some time yet, but that will certainly be something to look forward to.
