Hi, Middle East
Thanks for this, doesn't surprise me at all. One question, when you say "leader board of the shares," do you mean AIM, or the main market? It sounds like the first, but some confirmation would be welcome.
Best wishes
Hi, sharetrader
I'm with you on this. The share price may go lower in the next week or two; but above 20 pence by Christmas is very likely.
Hi, Islandgirl
Yes, I've been no great admirer of GGP, since Gervaise Heddle resigned in January of last year. The end of an epoch, etc.
Hi, Vicjain
I think one has to divide one's portfolio into two parts; the trading one, and the investment one. Trading is stressful, and time-consuming; but does allow one to support the share price of an excellent company, when it has fallen to ridiculous levels. I do not say that this is now the case; but in the 12's, I'll be back in.
Best wishes
Entirely normal for an AIM share to retrace much of the gains made on one day, on the next. I sold 15% of my holding yesterday (in order to buy back in), and of course should have done more. Errare humanum est.
The share price movement is similar to what happened in July last year. There was a one day rise (from 14 to 28), followed by a decline, which began the next day (and took the price down from 28 to 18 over a two week period).
A sharp one day rise, caused by a good drilling result; followed by a decline the next day.
"The Molyhil Project is Thor's most advanced project with significant work having been undertaken including a feasibility study completed in 2018, showing the project to be profitable production with low operating costs and early payback of capex (THR ASX, AIM 23 August 2018).
As part of Thor's corporate strategy to add value to projects through discovery or partnerships, the Company has commenced discussions with potential Joint Venture/Earn-in partners to progress Molyhil towards development."
Hi, Zan
Thanks for this, which I've only just read. I've been diverted by events over at OMI; have taken some modest profits there, which will go into POW. In my view, everyone should be holding both.
Best wishes
I'm surprised the share price peaked so early in the day (before 9 o'clock). Last time (July 2021), it peaked in the afternoon; and these AIM shares normally peak in the late morning, at mid-day, or thereabouts.
It's the first time I've ever known a share to rise on a fundraise. But there's a first time for everything.
I wonder if the investor is bigmj. He doesn't have to tell us; but it would be nice if he did.
It's informative; and what's remarkable is, there's no malice. This must change soon, human nature being what it is. I'm itching for the chance to quarrel with someone; or I would be, if I was fifty years younger.
Hi, Bhargav
It's a good joke. I had to do the research to check that they were the names of our non-execs; but it's a good joke.
Hi, Chicken
Who's Louise? I've never heard of her before. Brad mentioned a daughter; but surely she would have better things to do with her time, than accompany her father on a business trip.
Hi, Chicken
Yes, very probably; but that's not what he said.
Hi, Sotolo
I don't wish to be difficult, for I've always admired you; but we've not yet had the news. So I don't see how Rothschild's maxim applies.
Hi, Pebsi
Just hold. I'm down about the same amount. All will be well.
Hi, Neily
Just hang on, and you'll be OK. I've mucked up on the timing myself often enough (including on GGP in 2010); but if you've chosen the right company, time will bring you back into profit.
Yippee.
One of the things that persuaded me to buy is that Newmont hold 15% of the shares. I thought, they must be either intending to buy out the company themselves, or anticipating that someone else will do so. We shall see.
