Sotolo's posts on Centamin, Tharisa and Hochschild are excellent, and well worth reading. But on the matter of OMI, I agree with Legal. It's all about market cycles and timing. And I think that Brad has done well, in difficult conditions. Newmont pulled the plug on the j.v. , not because Anza is garbage, but because (i) Colombian politics were adverse, and (ii) since the merger with Newcrest, Newmont has too many projects on its plate.

The only investment a buy and hold strategy works for, is an index tracker; that will carry you through a bear market into the next bull market with no problems; and you don't need to worry about it. I recommend it to Leematt.

Volume is low, because everyone who wishes to buy, on the basis of present information, has already done so. The only thing that will change this is news (or a push by some financial influencer).

There is a much larger problem here; which is how to deal with the dishonest.

On the plus side, over time, one gets quite a good idea of someone's character from his (or occasionally, her) posts. There are some people here whom I would cross over the street to avoid; but then, they probably feel the same about me.

And there are others, to whom I am well-disposed. Among whom etc.

I'm surprised by this; you may be right, but I thnk not.

One has to make a judgement of character; and there are two points against Brad (he's not put any of his own money in; and doing a fund-raise before rather than after the RNS on the letter of intent was silly). But I think he does want to make a success of Anza, and the other projects.

He was kind enough to reply to my email, asking if he would be on site for the drilling at Pepas in May; the answer is yes. But it's not necessary, because the senior geo, Jáñez, has been with the company since 2013, and knows what he is doing.

I'm hanging on to my 2.17m.

I can add one more reason to Chicken's list. Orosur employs two "top notch" geologists to do the exploration; Jerónimo Jáñez and Ernesto Slavutsky, both from Argentina.

One very basic difference between GGP and OMI is market cap; £315m for GGP, £11m for OMI. Small caps rise and fall faster than large caps. So if both companies receive good news, the rise will be greater here.

Once upon a time, of course, GGP had a market cap of less than a million; but that's ancient history now.

There'll be a fund-raise after some good drill results; that's my guess.

I have sent Brad an email, asking for further info on the due diligence procedure. The reason this matters, is that it affects the time-frame; if lawyers and accountants are involved, delays are likely. If it's just Brad and Louis going through accounts and documents, then much less so.

I also asked, if he himself will be supervising the drilling at Pepas.

I don't fully understand this due diligence. Is it only a matter of going through accounts and documents (presumably in Spanish), or does it also require meetings with representatives of MMA? And are lawyers and accountants involved? Or can Brad and Louis do it by themselves?

Also, do we know if Brad is in Colombia, or elsewhere?
