After today's not so grim slightly more positive news and extension of talks I am guessing housebuilder sp's could stabilise consolidate and maybe close slightly positive on the day tomorrow.According to bookmakers smarkets chances of no deal Brexit has reduced from 60% on Friday to 47% today.

Berkeley was tipped as a buy in the Times today!

Does everyone here also think we would have a no deal Brexit by Sunday or that they may extend the date for a decision by a few more days?if we have a no deal Brexit by Sunday UK banks housebuilder s insurers real estate shares will suffer builders could probably gap down on Monday at open,FTSE 250 will be down by 6-10 % according to Morgan Stanley.

bit surprised about the 40 point pop from 9am,mmm...

The last traded level at close that I can see was 2544,after close theyre showing a close of 2514 ,30
points lower making it biggest faller among builders today more than crest who was down by 6-7 most of the day,I hope this gets a bit of a dead cat bounce back up at least intraday even with the negative Brexit news!

I have been observing recently that particular builder results only affect that company's sp for the Day!I would welcome a bounce tomorrow maybe more a dead cat bounce off the back of down day today intra day more likely.will need to await Brexit decision on Sunday whatever that is will determine builder sp for short term at least!

I am pleased u have been making a profit,it's good to daytrade if u can successfully although the levels will keep changing and not always in that range...

It looks like Britain and or EU are playing a game of who blinks first and trying to delay till the last hour which they are saying it's this Wednesday so they can ratify by 31 Dec,but I think the British don't care even if they leave without a deal,they kept delaying the deadline last time I don't think they can now.

This is crazy,we have not had an announcement that there is no deal and some housebuilders down by 5 to 6 % in the first hour!

thinking whether the downside on no deal and upside on a deal would be to the same extent and wether Brexit might not even affect housebuilder sp not much and priced in but more affected by covid news....

G4S takeover bid reminds me a bit of the sky bid where there were two bidders then three and they kept pushing up the price for some time,don't know whether there'll be a third here don't think G4S is as attractive as sky was!

Just wondering what do all think how this will affect HB so for December?the latest is officially neutral slightly pessimistic than Friday's...

Was wondering if they continue paying next year, would the xdividend dates go back to the historic march and June of every year...

Just hope any deadlock in Brexit talks does not cause a big down day for housebuilders!

Why do you say no money in builders now?
Technically it seems some bullish momentum is building up in the near future, maybe partly cause UK shares have been under performing due to covid and due a recovery to pre-covid prices.

there was some profit making yesterday on the back of big Tues move on data,just wondering if todays big move is a late response to positive canacord broker comment on the sector yesterday?

We had positive house price data from nationwide bs today,biggest increase in 6 years,although these data might only push up share price only for a day!
Hope countryside results on Thursday and Berkeley on Fri are positive and move all the builder sp's,recently they only moved the individual so on the day!
