I think that's why he added the detail. He'd no doubt get a load of criticism for letting a mundane trip snowball into a rumour. I like that he added clarity.

I find it hard to take "nothing more than a punt" seriously when JLP are a producing company compared to AIM exploration companies with MCAPs fluctuating up to £250M. It's ALL a punt if looked at like that. Vanadium is just one element on the recovery list.

My typical (cynical) number crunching is

1/ how good could it be?
2/ cut that in half.
3/ expect less.

2 & 3 aren't science, but it keeps my expectations grounded. (i've not fully crunched 1/ for JLP)

Well.... legit possibility but I would take forward selling of such shares to be a sign of a very crap deal. Would the handlers risk forward selling for a tiny % before buying back, when the risk is that news leaks and the SP takes off?

The SP % drop between now and news day can't be that much. Far more to be made by holding their shares...and leaking good news.

This feels like defeat from the jaws of victory. When the Cascade funding was announced, it was stated that some of the money would be used to repay debt. If that had been done, this would not be happening. Because they didn't do what they said they would- in an RNS- is there any legal standing?

+1 on that question. Saw the post last night and couldn't think of why that could be on the cards, but I was tired. Re-read it today.... still got nothing. IMO, the shares in issue aren't OUTRAGEOUS.

What % range did you expect? After HNR were left with 7.5% in a recent deal, 30% is pure bling. If NUOG kept their current % and diluted to develop, the end result would be the same or worse in terms of shareholder gains.

I'd be surprised if there aren't SOME wells out there that co-incidentally have been setup in the right way and are at the right stage of their life to be suitable. Every experiment has suitable guinea pigs*.... even the ones that aren't quite perfect for the paper-perfect test can reveal vital info. :) *No animals were harmed in the construction of this analogy.

The ones that broadcast detailed timescales get played by traders. The bottom line of what you've just said is the entire risk:reward ratio that everyone faces when putting money into AIM oilers. So....you should be posting that on 40-50 boards and not just this one, wouldn't you agree?

If your "concerns" are as 3rd-rate as union intervention and the possibility of the ship sinking.... i'm pretty sure that there's nothing to worry about ;) That said, if they're causing you sleepless nights, are you sure that investments like this are for you? Still waiting for precedence regarding RNS releases....

Can you link to RNS from other companies doing that? :/ I can't think of any.
