It's crazy, isn't it. Both "The Alaskan one" and "The Sussex one" can surpass AMERs MCAP with no or minimal production. AMER produce thousands of barrels per day and the MCAP is limited by "where's the next untapped P1 coming from?"

I'm surprised at how small the rise is so far, given the consistent buys today Vs the SP behaviour over the last couple of weeks.

In general, that's one of the issues with the internet. I've also noticed that it's one of the go-to responses on here for anyone facing criticism.

jointhedots... you mention the annoying end-of-day trades quite often.

Are you responsible for them, or some of them or connected to them in any way?

A number of points:

1/ Do you really expect an RNS to be released because of daily automatic trades of £50 or less?

2/ Every company is correctly priced. Always. Probably not by a P.I.'s definition, though.

3/ If you don't think the BoD knows best, you should never have put money in in the first place. We are way down the food chain, we will never know everything that they know and there are a list of reasons for that.

There are a number of things that COULD be legitimate reasons for an RNS. There has not been an RNS on any of the topics. The generic choice of reasons being: there is nothing to say or it is not the right time to say it.

Your frustration frequently refers back to the tiny automatic trades. It's unhelpful. People know it's happening. There will be an RNS when the time is right. I have to trust in that because i'm not sat beside the BoD and I never will be.

The manipulation links back to MM's and their access. The SP behaviour suits them. Do you think that they'll be caught off-guard when an RNS is logged?

AIM is full of machinations. They are not transparent. Accept them.

The collective "it" doesn't have to make sense at the time. There is always a reason and it will become clear in time- usually after the damage has been done. After seeing things happen a few times (hopefully from the outside) you'll start to spot the patterns. Sometimes a small loss is the best possible outcome.

Trades are interpreted automatically. If a trade is below the advertised mid-price, it's shown as a sell. Reverse for a buy.

It's largely automatic, though MM's can mess around with the spread to distort the picture.

Which is all brilliant and legit and has absolutely nothing to do with the automatic trades at the end of each day.

You also have to prepare yourself for the possibility that clarity on some of those points might drop the SP.

Also, I believe that the BoD will release an RNS covering some/most of those points when THEY consider it the correct time to do so. I don't want a rushed RNS in the hope of placating shareholders. They don't work.

....shouldn't be legal. No wonder most people who get involved in AIM lose money overall.

If it was, you'd no doubt be screaming that the BOD had been sitting on the news and should have released it earlier.

That we can at least agree on :) I call them "opening jitters" while MM's (and their algorithms) figure out where to start for the day. Either Ask gets jacked "just in case" or Bid gets dropped "just in case." Never anything that's good for PI's :p

Ummmm......I didn't see ANY of that happen. I saw: spread opened a little first thing. Flat morning, no 4% drop, first "proper" trades were 2 sells totalling £10K, but the SP didn't drop because of them.

If there's been a buyer for a month, they were happy buying around 14p and are still happy buying at 15.3p.

If they're so powerful, why hold it down to buy? Why not buy as it rises and encourage a higher high? If a background buyer IS the answer, they'd better be done soon- else they'll kill the sentiment of the interims.

I don't mind seeing the SP hover just under resistance. Gives a firmer springboard for when it's decided that it's time to break through it.

No idea... but the trades don't support the SP movement and MM's control it. Joe Anyone can't know (or be confident) that such tiny trades will have that effect on the SP.
