Woodside carry Sunrise , valued at 2021 oil and gas conference at $65 BILLION, pre gas price boom at $0.00c on its books, due to the no home to
go to, marked down year on year, until zero about 4-5 years ago. Likewise Boil/SNDA have never been given any value to such a large asset as
Chuditch, which is likewise viewed as stranded and of little value, until an acceptable to TL Gov path to market goes from 25 years of imminent to
its actually going to be built.
Any green light progress for Sunrise, is a return of value to Woodsides books and will have a large knock on effect to our likewise unvalued gas.
Otherwise we drill and its just another puddle in the ground going nowhere until Gusmao/Horta provide facilities for the decree LAW he made
many years ago, that its ours and it will all come to the Island, the Majors and many Tier 1 companies left
Sunrise originally Shell , Conoco Phillips , Woodside discovered 1974
Chuditch , Shell discovery 1998
Kelp , ExxonMobil discovery 1998 (est as biggier than sunrise and chuditch put together )
All still wait, progress on the facilities, is our GREEN LIGHT to GAS Value returning, which given the size of known and expected to be found new
fields, will bring the big boys back for a share of the HUNDREDS of $ BILLIONS, still waiting to flow.......
The Timor Leste section of the Timor Sea, is the un explored filling in the Australian and Indonesian Timor Sea sandwich, which has been
PROLIFIC oil and gas production since the late 1970's.
Progress will open the floodgates to a sector return, as posted earlier, the bid round 18 licenses fell on DEAF EARS, only 9 bids on 7 of the 18 available
licenses, huge areas, some 3000-3500 sq km, while during the same time frame, Nigeria offered 52 licenses and had over 1,600 bids.
Once this opens up, the Majors and Tier1's will return, too much money involved, for them to ignore any longer if a Gusmao/Horta APPROVED path
to market becomes available (not just talked about for another 25 years) They left as G & H turned down Darwin and FLNG ships, Gusmao made it
a decree law in Parliament, it all comes to the Island..........they left the rest is history.........GLALTH
