There’s better informed and longer term investors than me here, but I do see 25p mentioned quite a lot.

Charles archer I think has also suggested 25p. I think that is for the graphite alone. Straight buyout.

However as LW said yesterday the GROc comparison from Reserved was very interesting and by adding a downstream processing facility (which is the intention) that could double or treble that 25p prediction …

Damn right Bonker…. ARV is just SO cheap!

It does look like gold has bounced off $3900 (support) suggesting that the new (steeper) uptrend in the price of gold is starting. Said it last week $5000/oz is nailed on IMO.

Bonkers $7000/oz …. Erm I’m not bold enough to say it’s nailed on. But a wee voice at the back of my mind keeps telling me it’ll happen, no question, as gold is going to double digits.

So you should do well, Finton.

Troajan - if you multiply grade by depth OMI wins….. I like to think of PEPAS as a large solid gold nugget rather than a normal gold deposit, the grades are so high! But ARV we are looking at a greater area, a more conventional deposit that can quickly multiply the ounces (which is where PEPAS is limited. Meanwhile the MCAP is far lower for ARV.

Swings and roundabouts - and both great shares to hold.

Hard to know which will do best but my gut feel is OMI will tread water in December whereas ARV will move up.

Don’t want to get into politics too much…. but the chancellors comment ‘we all have to do our bit’. I’m not against paying a bit more income tax to do ‘my bit’…. But she needs us to pay more tax cos of her smug and self righteous but awful previous budget that suffocated growth and resulted in a lower tax take.

So yeah - why not go somewhere where the government don’t have someone financially illiterate running the economy.

All that aside, your move is a bold one but could well pay out handsomely. I wish you all the best.

Funny - I started posting (but deleted) on Friday about how if this pans out, with currency devaluation, then our debts (mortgages) will be significantly reduced.

So do you load up on debt (move up on the housing market) but have money in gold.

Or get debt and invest that money in gold. Ultimately that is too risky for me and not good advice!

And that’s why I deleted the post.

But your post, bonker, does highlight how we can use the price in gold to mark down our debt (mortgage)… if you have one!!
