JC is correct in that execution is a huge risk to AIM companies.

You make money (SP rise) in the initial discovery then on production - we all know the Lassonde curve.

The risk at exploration is finding the resource. The risk on production is missed production date (that can be a buying opportunity..) or the greater risk is not producing in the volume and generating the cash you thought you would…. And that risk (poor production numbers) is the one that is the killer as it starves a company of the cash it needs to be successful and keep going. Not being later into production into production.

Being late on production - it’s annoying and can create cash issues but that can be managed. Constantly producing revenue that doesn’t meet the costs is a bigger problem as the business isn’t profitable and that is where AIM is a graveyard.

As an engineer I have NEVER worked (in my 25 years) on a project that was delivered on time. Admittedly I’m talking far more complex than what HEX are working on but delays happen. Issues crop up and need resolved that can involve redesign or changes to vendor (bought items) and lead tines can change. And when you get kit delivered sometimes there can be faults and you need to replace it- etc.

Being later into production than planned is just not something I’m worried about. It happens. Annoying, frustrating, but thats life. We ain’t baking cakes or knitting a jumper here….

Bitcoin is is a bear market. Typically Bitcoin and the Nasdaq move together but this is not happening.

Maybe it’s just delayed a little and the Nasdaq will drop like Bitcoin.

As Trek says the fall in Bitcoin is likely a liquidity thing. A fall in the market is more an issue with the health of the markets, the economy and the AI bubble…

We all expect the markets to crash. At some point. If Bircoin continues to move with the Nasdaq it is in for a rough ride ahead as money leaves the stock markets and people hold cash like Buffet, or look to monetary metals for a safe haven.

The only question is - could Bitcoin become an alternative to the stock market and to the dollar and become a place to park your money like gold?

History tells us that is unlikely as Bitcoin rises and falls with the Nasdaq. Maybe that could change but history says otherwise…. Time will tell.

The cash needed for production is so low. They even have it right now but they will use that for exploration and to move the company forward rather that sit and wait for a production permit.

Raising the small amount of cash needed for production will be easy in this gold market.

Price of gold is down a bit today, still consolidating. That’s why OMI has dropped back to support levels.
