RE: AGM went well then?!22 Sep 2025 19:38
Well, it was certainly worth a visit to London to meet the Directors who were all very approachable and gave up a lot of their time to answer all the questions shareholders had. A few points to add to Andii’s excellent notes as follows:
- they certainly didn’t waste any money on shareholder beverages – water only!
- about 9 shareholders in the audience
- the strategy remains “more of the same”. They are hoping to get the monthly deployment up from over 6,000 a month to 10,000 a month through the use of auto ship, and are working hard to overcome some customer apathy by giving a 30 day installation deadline.
- making leakbot mandatory is clearly being actively discussed with some insurers, using new Ts and Cs
- NFU have a controlled roll out which means that not all customers have been offered a leakbot yet
- All the new plumbers are trained by an ex-HomeServe customer service manager.
I spoke to KW before the meeting, and he confirmed that the monthly $5 fee continues for as long as the leakbot is active (I think someone on the BB had thought that it stopped after 2 years). So, with costs recovered in year 1 and reduced plumber time in years 2 and onwards it is very scalable…… I think we have a winner!
I left the meeting feeling very reassured, and very surprised that the share price went down today. Having worked in the Insurance Industry for many years I am still trying to find where the “catch” is with Ondo and my investment but still haven’t found it. So, on the train back to Swindon I treated myself to another 10,000 shares.
Happy days.
