Interesting paragraphs on Chariot's website in respect of keeping Shareholders informed of important issues and ensuring compliance with AIM Regulations :--
RELATIONS WITH SHAREHOLDERS
Communications with shareholders are given a high priority by the Board of Directors, who take responsibility for ensuring that a satisfactory dialogue takes place. Directors plan to meet with the Group’s institutional shareholders following the announcement of interim and final results and at other appropriate times. The Directors are also in regular contact with stockbrokers’ analysts and hold calls for Private Investors at least twice a year. The AGM is held in London (moved from Guernsey so that this would be more accessible) and shareholders are encouraged to attend.
"The Company ensures that all shareholders and investors have equal access to the Company’s information, and it has procedures to ensure that all price sensitive information will be disclosed to the London Stock Exchange, and subsequently its corporate website, in accordance with continuous disclosure requirements."
......... so there we are
KB. Boris. Rishi was popular when he gave about £½trillion away for covid including to villains inventing Companies & getting free loans plus some self-employed who didn't need any. Liz tried to give even more away in tax cuts too much too soon - would have worked I think in smaller doses. Boris would win the next election but doesn't understand money!
So I'd have Boris PM and Jacob Chancellor of Ex' to keep an eye on him.
I wouldn't mind the Chancellor of Exchequer job as I'd balance the books very soon. With the National Debt equivalent to about £35,000 for every man/woman/convict/child/immigrant/OAP we are stuffed until we get a sensible C of E (Jacob being a religious C of E also might work!)
I suppose Chariot will have to get a move on with drilling and getting some of this stuff out of the ground. The gas is needed now, not in 10 years, and the licences do not last forever. Anyone remember when their licences are due for renewal and is there any possibility they could be revoked and passed to another Company?
there was once a young man k.billy
who bragged about the size of his will he...
.. make a big lot on the shares that he got,
or regret he ever bought chariot.
we will find out soon as things get hot
'cus according to goon there's been too big a dose
of "imminent" "shortly" "near" and "close"
and thought of a loss is not...
on our agenda i'd go on a ******
or start taking pot
according to ap and jimmy and simon
we're calling time on
our wait for some news
which will send into space
our shares without trace
and none of us will lose.
whimax can go for his chips and fish
while snott can hope, pray and wish
we had heard sooner, sailor gooner could pay for his boat
and serve his champagne in a dish.
surfit and bubble provided the fuel
to help us decide if buying more stock
was good or a cruel
move to give us a shock.
all in all i'm sure we did right
and we'll find out soon
by the next full moon
with an rns after another restless night.
Snott - I very much doubt AP would be able to say "we will be signed in 2 weeks" or anything similar. If not signed yet he could either be breaking a confidence or shooting himself in the foot if it turns out to be incorrect. I am sure you are correct in that if down to a single party, there will be some dotting of "i"s to complete but only when the last "i" is sorted will they sign and then announce a deal.
I am confident it will be under control and we will learn "in a bit" some good news. I think the sp will fall slightly until news arrives but would not dare to take profits now as could miss the boat.
The Summit appears to be at the Savoy, Marrakesh about 50 miles from the shocking earthquake. Nearly 3000 deaths and a team of 60 firefighters from UK went to assist. I think they are still there and hopefully helping to get the disaster under some sort of control.
Oscar1210 You certainly gave us something to think about with that analysis. I can't argue with that, full stop.
Nice to see no negativity so I gave you a recommend......no doubt the other one was GP14.
Looking forward to many more useful titbits with such thought behind them.
Fernan10, let us know how many shares you hold and maybe we could organise a lottery between us for them? Say you have 100,000 (£15,000 worth) you need to sell 150 tickets of 667 shares each to break even at £100 per ticket. I may buy a couple of tickets. Just think, if you sell 200 tickets you would take £20,000 and could go bothering another BB.
I have read this Report twice now and have no qualms over a small excerpt :-
"This has been an exceptionally busy period where we have taken all our key workstreams to an advanced stage ready for Final Investment Decision. The timing of this decision will be dependent on partnering, which is focused on the Anchois development but is expected to also cover both the Lixus and Rissana exploration licences. The partnering process has taken time due to the high level of interest, but it is now close to a conclusion and we look forward to updating the market on this as soon as we can. Securing a partner will be key to further de-risking this project. Getting Anchois built and into production is our top priority."
A.P.'s summary later on, talking about expected good progress "in the Months ahead" , sounds very promising and I would have thought should please most doubters.
The near future should be profitable for all the pillars of Chariot and we should be thankful that things have not been rushed in order that calm and calculated planning will give best results. As far as the environment is concerned GAS will undoubtedly be still very important for the next 10/20 years plus but preparations are being put in place to develop other more sustainable energy sources.
We may be invested in a small Company with a great future.
Graham. Yes I have held for about 2 years. Taken up the last 2 rights. If I had nil now I would be a buyer but now have enough. Lucky to get in at about 5p and now average 9p. I am not selling any until they reach about 30p. I may then sell enough to get my costs back but that depends on news so may hold longer. I cannot believe they will not reach 30 as the value of the asset is so good. AP has too much experience in this area to fluff it and even a bad deal with a partner must surely value us at 30p +. A good deal and some more patience should prove the 3 brokers right at 50 to 65 pence a share. Chariot appear to be well in with the Authorities who desperately need gas to help their economy. They need it now, not in 5 years.
Exciting stuff.
GP I agree the BOD are not seen as favourites at present for 2 reasons. 1)they have not delivered what we expected 2)The sp is pretty awful. Those 2 things tend to have made certain shareholders anxious and maybe depressed? but things don't always happen as quickly as hoped. sp was looking ugly first thing Friday but then that reversed and we ended up up. Let's hope the long term over-reaction was just that. I believe it was. I still reckon the downward move on the sp over the last few months was manipulated by MMs in cartel with the 2 x 6%ers or the BOD and now they know they cannot force it any lower. So now it could be onwards and upwards. imo
Goon don't bother getting up before 7 tomorrow it'll do you no good. I'm delivering some Tory leaflets then going for a game of snooker. Maybe if you have a lie-in it'll change our luck.
We have a share of some very valuable gas which one day "soon" will pay us back!
