They are just saying that EUA 'COULD' have that amount of buried in the ground resources!

As it costs money to dig up these resources, it will be much less of course!

Reading your post you seem to think I have an agenda!

I can assure you I do not, I worked for BT ffs! I'm not rich!

I brought up something that was in the news, BUT, did say I had not seen this issue where I live, I did say it might be an area-specific issue?

It was not an attack on any demographic of our population, that point was raised by others!

I then went on to use an American view of their own system, which can not be used as a direct comparison to our system, it was not even intended to be, it was just to illustrate there are TWO sides to EVERY view.

The American system has a very extreme divergence of opinions, it was just something that came to hand to make my point, that as I said, I had not seen this food poverty where I live, I did say the demography where I live was more like, look at me and what I have, it did not use to be like that here, it is what it has been turned into by the NEW influx of Yuppy types moving down from the London stockbroker belt!

Local house prices here have gone through the roof and no one drives small cars, everything seems to be for show, including expensive prams!

If anyone thought there was more to my topical posts than that, then I'm truly sorry, it was most defiantly not a slur on the poor or unfortunate and NO political bias intended, it was just that I had not seen this in my area and gave links to prove my point!

My last word on this obviously emotive topic!

That would be an absolute stonker of an RNS to release!

We will have to wait for verification, but I guess most are licking their lips in anticipation!

That JORC report is due any time now, will it be today?

As Awstin has posted the new electric supply has to be in place first, and is getting close:-

· Advancing the Power line to site to provide electrified overburden stripping

The phased increase in capacity for the West Kytlim mine has seen a step change in the first half of this year from one plant to three process plants commissioned in August. Whilst one plant was in operation, 170,000 cubic meters PGM bearing gravels were processed from 20 April to 31 July 2021. The Kluchiki work area continues to provide high-grade gravels, backed up by two operational sites within the Bolshaya Sosnovka area, where stripping has commenced and ................... "will be reinforced with an electric dragline in the future."

Our plans to transition from diesel-based stripping to renewable-electric powered stripping are now well advanced. The board recognise the potential to remove the operational GHG emissions associated with this stage of the mining process as valuable in improving the mine's environmental credits with a long-term goal of producing the worlds cleanest, i.e. lowest carbon PGM ounces. Eurasia's experts have evaluated possible draglines in the Urals area and throughout Russia for purchase and shipment to site. The powerline and dragline, despite the initial capital investment will eventually reduce operating costs at the mine meaning there will not be a 'green premium' associated cost with PGM ounces produced at the mine.

Although our focus at West Kytlim in 2021 was on the capacity increase and associated stripping works to prepare both Kluchiki and Bolshaya Sosnovka areas to feed 3 washing plants, we have also been mining which resulted in an approximately 9-fold revenue increase compared to 6 months of 2020.

So, soon is the answer I guess, but back that old adage, how long is soon :-)

This morning I brought up a current news topic,

Child food poverty,

"Marcus does donate some of his own salaries towards this, his, good cause, but, I haven't seen this food poverty myself down here, maybe it is area specific?"

I then changed the subject and went on to describe the 'yuppy' footballers wife's type with their Chelsea Tractors that seem to have invaded Leigh on sea, within the last decade, and described an incident I witnessed, where one of these mothers and their very expensive pram made an entrance to a coffee shop I was in, I then went on to describe the ways of my mother in the 1950s.

Three separate items!

Nothing was said about the poor, though some decided to twist the facts.

I was only talking about Marcus Radford and his good cause, saying I had not seen any of this food poverty down here in my area!

It was seized on and twisted but instigated a good debate of differing views.

If you give parents an extra £20 to feed their child, there is no guarantee it will be spent on good nutritious food for their child, it may be spent on other things.

If a family needs help to feed their own children, perhaps food vouchers would be a better option?

Some here decided to attack and insult, rather than educate by example, over my personal experience in Essex!

I have no experience of life outside of Essex, and some have enlightened me, so I thank you for that.

This was never a post against the poor, only my perceived lack of child food poverty in my area!

We are not talking about a world view, we are talking about a UK view, I have never seen in the UK press, a child, and that is the only thing I was talking about, looking like a poor staving blown stomach malnourished urchin, like we do in the press in a foreign country.

The benefits system has allowed much to go unchecked and is being abused by some, not all.

I have described what I have witnessed and said it might be an area-specific problem.

My parents both worked to support one child, ... me!

Back in the 1950s parents were responsible for their actions and from what I can see got virtually nothing in aid.

"Family allowances were introduced in 1946, with the first payments being made on 6 August. At that time, they were only paid for the second child onwards, a further watering down of Beveridge’s scheme. In 1952, the Conservative government reduced food subsidies, which had been in place since the war. From October 1952, family allowance was increased by three shillings per week in order to advance the potential effect on nutrition. As a means of encouraging families to keep children in education, the Family Allowances Act of 1956 extended the family allowance to all school children, although the bread subsidy was abolished. In 1961, Cabinet agreed that the majority of apprentices be excluded from the family allowance provisions, but dismissed proposals that family allowance for the second child be abolished. Family allowance provisions therefore remained intact in the Family Allowances and National Insurance Act of 1962.

Believing family allowance was not widely supported among its constituency, the Labour government of 1964 was unenthusiastic about the issue. However, in 1966, pressure groups (especially the Child Poverty Action Group) forced it to address family allowance. Cabinet debated the respective merits of an increase in the existing family allowance, or a new means-tested family supplement that was supported by the Chancellor, James Callaghan.

Following the Conservative electoral victory in 1970, Sir Keith Joseph introduced Family Income Supplement (FIS). It was designed to replace further increases in family allowance with a means-tested supplement for the poorest families, and was in some ways similar to the scheme devised by Callaghan under Labour. There was a low take-up rate of FIS, which proved unpopular, especially as it was accompanied by the withdrawal of subsidised milk for children.

Child benefit

Back in power, Labour had originally intended to merge family allowances and child tax allowances in the new benefit called child benefit in the mid 1970s, but under financial pressure decided to abandon these plans. Child Poverty Action Group (CPAG) was instrumental in ‘changing their minds’ and in 1975 the child benefit bill was enacted. The bill replaced family allowance with a benefit for each child, which was paid to the mothers. The act was not implemented immediately because of the economic crisis of the mid-1970s. Eventually, child benefit was phased in from 1977 to 1979."

Marcus Rashford MBE is starting to get on my nerves!

He talks about food poverty in the UK ..... What!

He wants the temporary £20 awarded during the COVID pandemic to remain in place to help feed UK children!

Most kids I see are overweight, but mum has the latest iPhone or tattoo!

Marcus does donate some of his own salaries towards this, his, good cause, but, I haven't seen this food poverty myself down here, maybe it is area specific?

Most mums around here ACT like footballers wives, driving the biggest 4 wheel drive that they can't park to save their lives!

I remember one incident a couple of years back whilst sitting in a Costa coffee shop, this woman, blinged up to the eyeballs repeatedly ramming the entrance door with her pram ( it opened outwards NOT inwards ) anyone in a wheelchair or elderly and anyone in the shop would have got up to help, but this was just so funny.

Any normal person would have opened the door and reversed the pram through, but not this one, she had on a massive puffer coat, jewel-encrusted sunglasses, this pram was a sight to see, it was double-width, all-terrain wheels, and I kid you not, disc brakes! Plus TWO cup holders on the handles.

After making her presence know, someone did eventually get up to open the door to assist, but she still tried to ram the pram through the opened doorway, until the cup holders that were one on each side and stuck out fouled on the door frame.

Instead of getting one side through at a time, she waited till the staff unbolted and opened both doors for her grand entrance!

I remember my mum, we had the conventional-looking big wheel pram to push around the streets and collect the shopping, if we went anywhere by bus, it was a very small canvas seated fold up pram that was stowed below the staircase on the double-decker bus, I never occupied a seat on the bus, I was always sat on my mum's lap, she would never have thought of me taking up a seat on the bus that could seat

Good God John you are in wars, sending you every little bit of get well soon wishes that I can muster!

We can't have such a respected member of the crew in dry dock at a time like this!

Our thoughts are with you for the speediest of recoveries, get well soon man, your needed!
