Russia is controlling the European gas price, which is affecting the UK gas price, The price cap this year will protect most UK customers, unfortunately, next year the UK price cap will undoubtedly double what we currently pay to take in this unprecedented rise!

Electricity is deemed to be the green way forward, with Electric Heat Pumps replacing traditional gas boilers and EV's replacing the traditional car!

Where will all this new electricity requirement be fulfilled from?

We used to burn Coal, take Tilbury 'B' power station as an example, its output capacity was 1428 MW, enough to power the homes of 1.4 million people, approximately 80% of the population of Essex.

It was fitted with the latest smoke and fume limiting filters and had its jetty enlarged to accommodate the bigger coal-carrying ships of up to 65,000 tons.

Even that was not enough, it was later converted in 2011 to burn Biomass (Wood Pellets) at a reduced output, BUT, making it the biggest biomass generating site in the world.

What happened, in 2012 a major fire broke out in a fuel storage area of the station involving some 5,000 tonnes of fuel in the storage cells.

I don't think it ever worked again and was subsequenty demolished.

We have a few Necular Power stations, but most NOW burn GAS!

We have the NEW wind farms, but the current problem is the wind is not blowing!

We have interconecter cables from France to tap into thier Electric supply!

WE need our OWN sustainable Electric supply if the UK is to GO the Electric route!

Just seen on the news that the price of gas has gone up 40% in the last 24hrs, had a quick Google and the price of gas for delivery in November initially surged to almost 400p per therm this morning, but reversed course after Putin’s comments, to finish 9% lower at 266p a therm!

Public Debt in the United Kingdom is principally the debt of the central government.

In 2005 the UK National Debt was less than £0.5 trillion.
But then came the worldwide financial crisis of 2008 and subsequent recession.
The National Debt increased rapidly and went over £1 trillion in 2011 and over £1.5 trillion in 2016.
At the end of March 2021, the National Debt was £2.20 trillion.

In terms of Gross Domestic Product, the UK National Debt in 2005 was about 38 per cent of GDP.

But in the last ten years, in the wake of the Crash of 2008 and subsequent recession, the National Debt has doubled to over 80 per cent GDP, but is levelling out as a per cent of GDP. At the end of March 2021, the National Debt was 104.6 per cent of GDP.

But the prank last night provoked widespread fury as critics accused former senior ministers of treating taxpayers with contempt and failing to take Britain’s colossal debt mountain seriously.

It was a clear reference to the record £163billion annual borrowing deficit and £777billion national debt left by Gordon Brown’s defeated Labour administration.

Households face swingeing tax rises and deep public spending cuts as a result of the disastrous SDHp economic inheritance left by Labour.

Mark Wallace, of the TaxPayers’ Alliance, said: “It is hardly funny that the country has been driven close to bankruptcy.

“Liam Byrne should probably have tried to do something about this state of affairs when he was in the Government. Senior Tory MP Michael Fallon said: “This letter is extremely revealing. It has given the game away – Labour did spend all the country’s money.”

Afternoon all,

I hope you are all relaxed and fit ready for next week,

Did my good deed this morning, the in-laws Toyota Yaris had a flat battery, Again!

Last month one of them left the lights on, this time, NO one, admitted any such misdemeanour, I put the battery on charge and investigated what was draining the battery!

Soon found out it was the boot not fully shut, and the boot light was draining the battery overnight.

I did chuckle to myself because when they get into our car, they slam the doors so hard, you put your hands over your ears to stop the resounding pressure wave! yet they must have very gently closed the boot for it to only catch and not shut properly!

The bit I liked from the recent RNS was the fact that the company had managed a nine-fold increase in production compared to the same time last year, and that was with only ONE wash plant, as the full three were only commissioned in August.

"The phased increase in capacity for the West Kytlim mine has seen a step change in the first half of this year from one plant to three process plants commissioned in August. Whilst one plant was in operation, 170,000 cubic meters PGM bearing gravels were processed from 20 April to 31 July 2021"

If one wash plant can be used to increase output by Nine times!

Does that make it 3 x 9 = 27 times for all THREE :-)
