I was watching Police Intercepters on the box last night where a car carrying three persons without indicating turned right in front of an oncoming car, which clipped it, and due to the speed, it rolled and crashed upside down in the ditch.
When the police arrived they asked where was the driver of the crashed car, he ran off they said, but his two passengers are over there, the police go over to the passengers and ask are you ok, yes they replied, just bruised.
The Police then asked, do you know the name of the driver of the car that ran off?
The two young girls then replied, yes, he is our dad!!!!
What a complete plonker, to run away from a car crash, presumably, because they are either not insured, over the limit, or previously banned, ....... But to leave your own children, in a crashed car, and then think of running off leaving them behind to later identify you?..... Not a lot going on upstairs is there! What an uncaring Idiot!
In another scene, a driver slows down on a dual carriageway and this lady drives into the back of him, as the car airbags have deployed and produced some smoke she exits her car.
The driver of the car she ran into is a caring chap and offers her his car's passenger seat to sit and wait for the ambulance to arrive.
When the ambulance arrives the paramedics ask her how she is, she now complains of a bad back and says she can't move!
The Paramedics then get the fire brigade to cut the roof off this perfectly ok brand new car with less than 1000 miles on the clock, fearing this lady might have spinal injuries, even though she has walked from her car to this other car in order to sit down in it!
Even the police felt sorry for the car owner who was having to watch his new car being destroyed just so the person who drove into the back of him, who was perfectly ok to get out of her car and walk to and sit down in his car, be extracted at his expense!
Ouch! explain that to your insurance company! still, a visual episode of Police interceptors must go a long way in proving your case!
