We are ALL here to hopefully make a nice profit to ease life in later years, maybe to bring retirement forward, help your family, friends, and charities.
Most of us buy into a stock and hold out for a great return, enjoying the journey in watching a company grow, the old fashioned way of investing, some, want a quicker route to riches, and will short, or make up negative stories about the company, with an aim to try and destabilise the positive thoughts of the longer-term investor so they start to doubt and sell the stock, reducing the share price and allowing their short to work its magic for them!
It is NOT a moral way of investing, and can adversely affect companies bottom line and if taken to the extreme wipe out a company!
"When investors short sell stocks, they borrow the shares, sell them on the market, and then collect the proceeds as cash. ... When they buy to close their short positions, they stop prices from falling even lower. Buying to close is the only way to exit a short position unless the firm goes bankrupt"
Yes, this sale of company assets is taking longer than we originally expected - FACT!
Is there a reason to fear it won't happen now? - NO, still ongoing, 'THE BUYER' has completed its Due Diligence.
If for ANY reason the SALE process had collapsed the company would have to release an RNS to that effect!
Waiting, for some great news to drop, or not, is hard for some, who are no good at waiting!
They then conjure up all sorts of reasons as to why in their mind this sale process is failing, even though it is still ongoing!
You have TWO options, TRUST in the BOD who hold masses of stock, and wait for the outcome!
Or, sell now, before your worst fear!
Only YOU know the answer to that one!
I'm here till the end, or, until some real negative shows its head, Nothing major so far!
And the little old company I invested in over two years ago has now grown out of all proportions, far exceeding my expectations, it now has J/Vs over NINE more mines than it originally had! along with added flanks to the original areas!
Just the TIME toxin as Tilly calls it ...
