BB as a business traveler, I always fly BA to get points and free flights. I wouldn't fly Ryanair as it was a hassle and you got nothing in return. As a very last resort I would fly another airline. I agree with Wobbles83, no comparison but if it keeps you happy.....

BB why not quote cheap seats to a relevant country? US maybe?

Hilarious comments this morning, truth is that doomsayers haven’t a notion of what might happen and just jump on the negatives and speculation.

In the same article it is quoted:

"He said the only alternative to tapping shareholders as the company tries to boost its credit rating is gradually paying down debt ‘using cash flows’. "

This sounds like the more logical route, cant keep diluting a business, especially when there is cash flow there. If there was no cash flow, it would be a last resort.

Would they not use their liquidity to pay down debt once revenue for the US starts coming in? I see IAG looking to increase their SP value versus diluting it?

BA from Gatwick was not profitable, guessing they were legacy agreements with the unions? If profitability is enhanced, it is only a good thing for BA.

Teddy, i understand that investors hold both positions, i was referencing the shorts taken out when the price was dropping during the delta outbreak.

@coolebenji, agree with you had the same in mind, that a share buy back would be on the cards. A FTSE 100 company cant go on not paying dividends for an extended period of time, its been long enough already. I would think Spring/Summer 22 would be a catalyst based on results and growth projections. This is where liquidity might help the company.

MalChance, hindsight is a great thing, I would also invested in elsewhere if i knew how the market would have developed but felt more comfortable investing in a sector i know better. People have to travel etc. Anyways in good profit now so hope to see momentum with all the recent good news.

If the market are looking at a 6 month trajectory with Covid out of the way, i cant see how they would take a short position.....

IAG SP has been bouncing around for the last 18 months because of covid, now that there is an end in sight its a buy at this SP.

Even at 50% of the value of the 2019 peak, this is 222p. I think IAG will be worth more than this come the summer. Leaner, managing debt and generating at least 80% capacity and revenue along with additional routes at low cost with Gatwick, Vueling in Paris as well as an Iberia hub expansion.
