I think this says it all and would not be going near Wizz of BP, each to their own though:

JPMorgan Cazenove said it was the "most compelling" overweight in the airline sector and added the stock to its Analyst Focus List and put it on "positive catalyst watch".

This SP is the one that keeps giving, would be crazy exiting after waiting all this time. Finally in a place where house is paid off and have added a stretch target. The fundamentals and results are so good, with more share buy backs and dividend payments it will reach new highs.

Shares being sold now goes to the market and IAG buy some of them. Others being bought and sold by the market.

Less shares available to buy on the market, the more the SP goes up. This is why holding on during a share buyback with a company showing great fundamentals makes sense.

Fundamentals are still great and it is a building on 2.60p.

Cant complain, this is going a lot better than i could have imagined. Fair to say that the share buyback has made a big difference. If this is the catalyst, i hope another round will be proposed in February!

Xhita you are digging a hole here, have you heard of the power of code share, fuel price negotiation, the repurposing and relocation of aircraft (just to name a few)?

Aer Lingus had an issue this year correct and it was offset due to diversification. What would happen if Easyjet had the same problem with no other airline in the portfloio, IAG would probably snap it up.

Xhita you say more risk as more markets? That makes no sense, its called diversification. More risk in one market. Well whatever makes you happy. Also you are right i will stick with IAG as i am very much in the blue and see a lot more potential.

Not enough differentiation, scope for growth or profitability as IAG have, can’t see this going up as much as people here seem to think. It’s a low cost UK airline.

Yes correct, although there is no guarantee the share price will not go down, there is a cushion through these buy backs. This will put off day traders making gains in SP swings. They will go elsewhere.
