My bad, you are right, I get an email from IAG everyday at 7am which shows a summary of the shares bought the previous day.

Yes, shares are bought back at 7am each morning pre trading. It reduces the amount of available shares to purchase on the market, increasing SP, particularly when the fundamentals are good.

UK economy shriking taking a bit of a shine off this SP….

Sundezena jinxed it today...... share price dropped after his comments.......

I expected a small retrace today or tomorrow but it doesnt seem to be coming....

I cannot see a need to exit right now, February will be a good test on results and forecasts but it seems like from the fundamentals and ratings there is appetite for this SP to double.

We expect IAG to meet the target set at the 2023 CMD for margins to be in the 12-15% range, forecasting 14.3% in 2026 (DB EBIT +8% versus consensus), up from 11.9% in 2023 and in-line with the 2018 peak," it said.

I would be focusing more on growth in SP versus dividend, dividend will help but is not the main cash catalyst.

That is a huge upgrade!

Bvcxz70, good post which is nice to see now and then given all the noise on this forum.

I think however, you might be missing the consolidation of profitable routes, price increases versus 2019 and a better and improving debt position. Now, i understand the dilution element however there is currently a share buyback happening and I am sure there are more to come.

The fact is that the projections are not like for like and comparing 2019 is now a little bit redundant. They are essentially 2 different businesses. Ratings seem to think the same way.

I would call that eliminating the risk of a crisis and a positive move.

This bodes well for US opening today for IAG. All airlines results seem to be enabling a rebound.

So this is technical analysis versus fundamentals? PE Ratio, Profitability, Debt etc?

Also interested to know why brokers are all stating Buy and Overweight? In a strong uptrend, the RSI typically stays between 40 and 90 which would make 83 ok?
