Well if you believe that to be true, that's spells bad news for the loan then I believe what is meant by that is, deals that star complete themselves. I.e I think zero was a distributor in the u.s that revenue excluded. Income from crop X most definitely Israeli based, that income is included in the government loan when working out the total loan obtainable

Nothing wrong with talking about funding, it should be more considered though, they have already loaned the company $243k plus a government loan to come. The latter is really difficult to judge, optimistically I would hope for $400k. That's in the assumption that 80% of revenue is Israeli based revenue. That should be the starting point for a considered discussion imo.

Asking two questions about finance is hardly harassing! Especially when all the information being banded around share holders as gospel is wrong (maybe that doesn't fit the agenda)! You're fortunate some holders actually bother to find out what's going on!

I asked a follow up question saying, so would it be 8% of revenue therefore $544k? His response was only revenue connected to "Israeli entity", I didn't want to bother him anymore, he was only giving details of the government loan and I didn't want to push our all for specifics as I didn't think he could answer.

So.... The loan is based upon revenue connected to "Israeli entity" not total group revenues. It's it's very difficult to say as we wouldn't have access to revenue breakdown to this degree

So for absolute clarity, the maximum loan that they "could" apply for is $544,000. I suggested that may only be approx $250k on reading the document I posted earlier.

For the record, given the situation. I genuinely do not know what else the BoD could actually do, they have wholeheartedly supported star financially, they are very unique for aim. Performance and distribution is a separate issue.

Cristal - I happen to know quite a bit about Val. I won't get into that too much as this is a star BB. But there are many similar names in Val, as star.

Don't think any sensible poster is saying Doomsday! Realistically it's more than feasible revenue predictions could be missed, the rns said "too early to tell".

My frustrations come from, the past 2 yrs could have been better given the tech, hence help mitigate the impact now.

I read like it was 1mln NIS or 8% of turnover. As this was specifically aimed at small business, then it would make sense. Don't get me wrong, I think that $250k plus the BoD loan is more than enough

Also for clarity, I did say yesterday "applying" & "obtaining", were two different things. Having read the article, I'm more inclined to think that the loan will be obtained

Okay, so since the rns I have read a few times that a government loan is available to apply for for $500k which seems to be taken as gospel. This is not true.

On 11 March, the Government announced a further NIS 10 billion support package, doubling the amount available under the loan fund.

On 8 March, the Finance Ministry opened a special loan facility for struggling companies to receive support from the State Guarantee Fund for Small Businesses. The facility is primarily aimed at SMEs. It provides working capital loans of up to 5 years to a maximum of NIS 500 000 or up to 8% of the company’s last annual turnover, with options to defer payment for half a year. Banks are expected to provide credit approval within nine working days

On 16 March, the government announced further measures of importance to SMEs, which include (alongside measures to enhance access to loans already announced)

It was initially 500k NIS, but then doubled to 1mln NIS

so that roughly equates to $250k that would be the maximum available in the government loan to star

Are very quick to attack and call out motives of you dare to question anything, it's so easy in the moment to call someone a ramper or deramper blah blah. So to all the people a week or so ago that were so quick to say, this pandemic would not affect star and indeed could even help and anyone suggesting otherwise was a deramper. What were the motives in saying that? Were you "ramping" or"just get it wrong". I'm interested.......

The feather in the hat currently seems to be the SaaS payments. I know that whilst many businesses have had to grind to a halt, at least here we still have some sort of revenue and in genuinely mean this as a positive. My musings were, clearly many aspects of the SaaS payments will remain, crop x and zero being notable ones. However logistics? With tetis and lokies in particular, if goods are restricted are stopped, are SaaS payments still made if goods are not moving? Are they something that can be turned on and off, or are you committed to SaaS regardless? Think this can be an important aspect in getting through this difficult period

Yes I posed the question. What are your thoughts? should the government provide funding to a company not producing a net profit? Let's not pretend, no one has the answer.
